Phineas Flynn (born 2001) is one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Ferb Fletcher) of the Disney’s Phineas and Ferb.
He is the son of Linda Flynn-Fletcher and an unknown man, the younger brother of Candace Flynn, the step-son of Lawrence Fletcher, and the best friend and older step-brother of Ferb Fletcher. Created by Dan Povenmire, Phineas first appeared along with the rest of the series' main characters in the pilot episode "Rollercoaster". Phineas, along with Ferb star in each A-Plot of every episode.
Phineas is a cheerful boy who's always coming up with wild and rational ideas along with his brother Ferb of what to do over summer vacation, from building a humongous roller coaster to traveling into outer space to breeding giant mutant sea-monkeys.
Personality[]
Phineas is known for his unfailing optimism. Even in the face of the most difficult challenges that confront him, he manages to maintain his composure and keep his outlook on the situation positive. Phineas often uses his ability to boost the morale of those around him during phases of depression. He is usually in a good cheerful mood. He even keeps his cheery outlook while he always remains oblivious of Isabella's overwhelming crush on him until it becomes obvious that Isabella wanted to date him.
Physical Appearance[]
Phineas is an Caucasian boy who has a triangular head. He also has short, spiky red hair, a large pointy nose, and large, dark blue eyes. He has three freckles near his temple. Phineas wears an orange and off-white striped t-shirt, blue cargo shorts with large pockets, and blue high-top sneakers with no noticeable socks.
Skills[]
Phineas has proven himself to possess numerous talents and skills, he is versatile in resourcefulness, technology, sports, even fields of science and math.
He also has been shown to be a good singer. When given the opportunity to sing, he seizes it and delivers with remarkable vocal proficiency and smoothness. Along with this, he can play a number of musical instruments, including and possibly not limited to the stand-up bass, the guitar, the bass guitar, the organ, the piano, the tambourine, and the drums.
Like his brother, he possesses an overactive and complex imagination that is the driving force behind his endeavors. He can work very well with tools and has exceptional knowledge including prowess with construction. It is also worth noting that Phineas appears to be ambidextrous. What distinguishes him from others of his age group is his ability to engage in feats largely amplifying that of others his age. For some reason, he displays the qualities of a leader and a resourceful problem solver. Phineas appears to be able to work very well as an investigator, having been able to track down and locate Candace's Mary McGuffin doll based on eyewitness testimony after it was mistakenly sold in their garage sale.
He has potential in combat as seen during his brief scuffle with 2nd Dimension Doofenshmirtz, he is highly agile and acrobatic during his Big Ideas, building their inventions faster than a day, avoiding traps, obstacles, climbing high structures, etc.
Omnifabrication: Like Ferb and Doofenshmirtz he can invent and create any item, device, weapon, etc. He can with limited resources in exceptionally short time as shown in various Phineas and Ferb episodes.
Genius Intelligence: Like his brother Ferb he is extremely intelligent for a kid his age, he was also a good complex math solver.
Leadership, Creativity and Imagination: He is the one who come up with the ideas to build one of their projects while he can plan on a professional level.
Dancing, Singing, and Instruments: He can dance with precise and basic steps, able to sing gracefully in any genre, and can play instruments like guitars, violins, drums, etc.
Inventing: during the summer he is very skilled at inventing things, like his brother Ferb.
Athleticism: He is also very athletic as shown to play soccer, baseball, volleyball, ice hockey, and any kind of sports, especially in their own created sports with advanced technologies.
Courage and Motivator: All of the episodes. he is brave and never doubt fear, and face danger head on, he is a determined person to complete his goals, and he is able to lift up everyone's depression.
Piloting & Driving Intuition; He is proficient on driving advanced vehicles, mechs, and ships despite being too young to do it.
Speed, Agility, and Acrobatics: Some episodes were seeing him as agile to outrun traps, dodging hazards, climbing through towers or mountains, and balancing on platforms, ledges, and jumping every obstacles.

Phineas' Victorian-era counterpart/ancestor. He is a mad scientis who creates eccentrict creatures with the help of his hunchbacked henchman, Ferbgor, much to the chagrin of their disproving castle governess Constance.
The latest of his monsters was Platypus monster he made for the upcoming "Monster Ball", only for it left to after Jekyll Doofenshmirtz. Dr. Phineastein and Ferbgor subsequently chased it and learned their latest creation went to the event itself but not before taking its time hanging out with a Victorian girl who resembled Isabella. In the end however, the unexpected winner was Constance who mutated from drinking a concoction made by Jekyll Doofenshmirtz by mistake.
2nd Dimension Phineas[]

2nd Dimension Phineas
This iteration of Phineas started off as a conformist due to Doofenshmirtz-2's reign but started to adopt similar traits to his First Dimension counterpart after the latter and their friends liberated their home dimension's Tri-State Area from the tyrant's clutches.

A 1914 archeologist-adventurer who resembles Phineas in "Phineas and Ferb and the Temple of Juatchadoon". As with the latter, he is optimistic, a care-free and fun-loving attitude, high levels of creativity, and a philosophy of living everyday to the best of one's ability. Yet at the same time, he fancies fame, wealth, and glory, easily annoyed, and more opportunistic.

When they got Death Star plans due to a series of mishaps, the brothers make haste to bring it back to the Resistance while had to deal with Empire officials at the same time.

Trivia[]
Some of Phineas' inventions appear in Disney Infinity.
His magic carpet invention became a rare Disney Infinity power disc called "Aerial Area Rug", which is also the name of the song sang by Phineas in the episode it appears in, "Magic Carpet Ride".
His "Coolest Coaster Ever" can be seen in the background of the Danville Sky skydome, a Disney Infinity original power disc that alters the sky to look like the sky of Danville. Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated can also be seen, as well as buildings. It is also a set piece that can be placed in your Toy Box.
The Baseball Launcher is his default ranged attack, by pulling the right trigger on Xbox or PlayStation.
In a couple of early episodes, Phineas' eyebrows are black, but as you can see, they are normally red.
One of Phineas' least favorite foods is zucchini.
His is the first name to be used in the title of an episode: "The Fast and the Phineas".
His triangle shaped head has been explained in the show to just be a nose that covers a large portion of his face, and many people started making jokes that he is a Dorito.
Phineas was originally planned to be more rude than he is now, but before the series was green-lit, they decided to make him more good-natured.
Phineas was one of the rare few to exhibit the rare phenomenon of a newborn smiling.
According to a National Siblings Day Instagram post by Disney Television Animation, Phineas is the little older than Ferb and the middle child of the family.
