Phineas Bertram Flynn-Fletcher is one of the two titular protagonists, alongside his stepbrother Ferb, of Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars. He is a moisture farmer living on the planet of Tatooine. While he is perfectly contempt with spending his whole life on the planet, he had to leave it in order to return the Death Star plans to the Rebel Base.
Like his main-series counterpart, he was voiced by Vincent Martella.
Biography[]
Phineas grew up on the sand planet of Tatooine to Linda Flynn and an unknown father. Phineas' parents were separated through unknown circumstances, and Phineas' older sister left the planet to join the galactic empire., After this, Linda married Laurence Fletcher. Phineas and his now stepbrother Ferb grew to love their planet to the point where they questioned the idea of ever leaving it. They did various activities on Tatooine, such as upgrading pieces of technology or racing across the canyons. They previously had a pet platypus named Perry, though he turned out to be a secret Rebel agent. While Phineas and Ferb were originally hurt by this betrayal, they managed to work through it.
One day, after coming home from giving a Bantha a shower, Phineas and his stepbrother came across the astromech droid R2-D2. After a brief encounter, R2 left to find Obi Wan Kenobi. That next day, Phineas and Ferb realized that the disc located inside the droid had fallen out and landed in their speedster, so they decided to return them.
The pair followed R2, now accompanied by Luke and Obi Wan, to Mos Eisley. The two met up with Platto, who revealed to them the disc they had found was the plans for a planet destroying space station called the Death Star. Unfortunately, they were spotted by 3 low-level storm troopers, who cased them through the city. Phineas and Ferb located Luke and the others, but were unable to reach them due to a storm trooper shootout, and the Millennium Falcon left the planet.
Since they had no ship or piloting skills of their own, Phineas and Ferb went to look for a pilot in the infamous Mos Eisley Cantina. It was here where they met the grizzled Isabella, who agreed to take them to the Falcon. Phineas offered to upgrade her ship's thermal couplings, but she denied. They tracked the Millennium Falcon, but Isabella's ship was caught by the Death Star's tractor beam. Phineas and Ferb created a cloaking system, which disguised the ship as a doughnut truck, allowing them to arrive the Death Star.
After arriving on the Ship, Phineas and Ferb encountered Perry, who was on a Rebel mission. While they were sneaking through the Death Star, Ferb felt through the Force that Perry was in danger. Phineas offered to go with Ferb to help him, but Ferb said that Phineas needed to focus on returning the Death Star Plans.
Phineas talked more about Ferb to Isabella, much to her annoyance. It is here where Phineas and Isabella ran into one of the Stormtroopers from Mos Eisley. During the chase, the Stormtrooper slipped and ended up dangling off the edge of one of the Death Stars walkways. Against Isabella's judgement, Phineas saved the Stormtrooper.
Phineas and Isabella finally got to the Falcon, but Phineas decided to stay on the Death Star to save Ferb, so he gave Isabella the Death Star plans and went to find his brother. To Phineas' horror, Ferb had been turned to the Dark Side by Darthenshmirtz's Sith-Inator, and was planning to use it to build a Sith army. Reluctantly, Phineas fought his brother, and, with the aid of the now reformed Stormtrooper, managed to return Ferb to the Light Side by destroying the Inator.
Once the day had been saved and the Rebels were about to destroy the Death Star, Phineas, Ferb, and the three stormtroopers ran to the Bus Pod. Unfortunately, it left before they got there. Realizing that his chances of survival were slim, Phineas revealed that his only regret was that he was never reunited with his sister. This remark allowed the Stormtrooper to realize that she was Phineas' sister. Right before the Death Star exploded, Phineas and his friends were saved by Isabella. He was last seen at a dance party at the Rebel Base on Yavin 4, where he was kissed by Isabella.
