Phoenix-Phoenix, better known as Phoe-Phoe, is a major supporting protagonist in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. She is the pet phoenix of Lujanne, who sacrificed herself to make sure Ezran was able to get to the Storm Spire, although she gets revived in the graphic novel Trough the Moon.
Biography[]
Book 1: Moon[]
Phoe-Phoe was the phoenix of the Moonshadow elf and illusionist Lujanne, who would help her in anything she wanted, such as flying to the place she wanted to go. She is first seen when Lujanne went to see Callum, Ezran, Rayla, Ellis, and Ava when they entered the Moon Nexus so she could heal Azymondias' egg due to Ellis mistaking her as a healer.
After understanding that the egg was dying, Callum used magic to make the egg hatch, which happens and Azymondias is born.
Book 2: Sky[]
Two days later, she is seen eating grubs with Azymondias and Ava, which Lujanne also gave to Ellis, Callum, and Ezran by creating illlusions of other kinds of food.
Phoe-Phoe would not do much for the time Soren and Claudia entered the Moon Nexus until they decided to try and capture Ezran, Callum, and Azymondias, but Lujanne tricked them with illusions of them while Phoe-Phoe left with Team Zym, and Claudia tried to use dark magic to hold Phoe-Phoe, but Corvus saved them by knocking Claudia out.
Book 3: Sun[]
Phoe-Phoe would then try to fly to the Storm Spire with Team Zym, but she got tired during the flying and stopped, so they decided to go to a human village close to the place they landed while Phoe-Phoe returned to Lujanne in the Moon Nexus.
Phoe-Phoe would later appear after Soren, Barius, Lujanne, and Opeli rescued Ezran when he was imprisoned by Saleer, and brought Ezran to the Storm Spire, but became extremely tired during the flight, but she refused to stop, causing her to die from exhaustion when she got there with Ezran and Bait.
Through the Moon[]
Phoe-Phoe would later get revived by Lujanne and Ezran during a ritual in Through the Moon by using one of her feathers. The next few days, Ezran would teach her how to walk and fly, and used one of her feathers to help Callum save Rayla when she got stuck in a bridge between life and death.
Book 6: Stars[]
Two years later, Phoe-Phoe warns Lujanne and Allen about people arriving to the Nexus, with it being revealed to be Callum and Rayla. She is later seen with Allen as Lujanne tells Rayla and Callum's the Nexus' portal between life and death was almost ready.
Powers and abilities[]
- Moon Primal Connection: Being a Moon phoenix, Phoe-Phoe draws her power from the Moon arcanum, especially the Moon nexus. The closer she is to the Moon nexus, the stronger she is.
- Strength: Phoe-Phoe has the strength to carry at least four to five people. However, she soon exhausted herself and Team Zym
- Endurance; Phoe-Phoe can travel long distances and her endurance is best at night;
- Flight: Phoe-Phoe can flydue to the wings on her back.
- Reincarnation: She can be brought back to life through a ritual involving her phoenix feathers and the power of the moon nexus. It turns the "ghost feather" into an egg that instantly turns into a newborn phoenix.
Weaknesses[]
- If Phoe-Phoe strays from the moon nexus, she will grow weaker. For example, she grew exhausted carrying Zym, Callum, Ezran and Rayla. Phoe-Phoe carried Ezran and Bait further than before; Hoeven she later died of exhaustion.
