Pico originates from Pico's School, a point-and-click Flash game made by Newgrounds' founder Tom Fulp in 1999. Due to the games popularity at the time, Pico quickly became a fan favorite around Newgrounds.
Since then, Pico has been appointed to mascot of the site and has made other cameo appearances in many Newgrounds Flash films, games (like Friday Night Funkin') and remains a popular character to this day.

He confronts Cassandra at the end of the game and kills her in boss battle. After, the School been saved by Pico himself, the teacher says the Ghettobots will replace the deceased classmates.
Pico vs. Überkids[]
Pico enters an ice-cream shop named U-Cream. Pico heads inside and places his order for a cone with 3 scoops. He is excited for it and is about to take a lick--but is quickly reminded he has to pay. Pico digs through his pockets and drops a few coins on the counter. Giving an innocent smile, he unfortunately does not have enough money to pay for the ice cream he desired. Pico ultimately ends up getting a much smaller ice cream cone, looking miffed. He then notices something awfully strange about the employees at the shop, but quickly shrugs it off and leaves the facility.
Pico heads outside, he notice the lights located in the area shut off, and Pico is surrounded by an army of Überkids. He has no other choice other than to prepare for a messy battle. The Überkids run at Pico, and he begins shooting at the crowd with his dual Uzis. He is eventually circled by a group of them, in which he responds to leaping up and stepping on their heads to get away. Pico continues shooting more and more Überkids as they keep coming of the scene before Pico notices a bus that is being held up a high ramp with a rope. He shoots out the rope, which causes the bus to break loose and to ram downhill. The bus runs over and kills a group of Überkids before crashing into a building. Another group of angry Überkids stare out the windows of the bus, preparing their next attack. They begin to tear the inside of the bus, releasing themselves in order to charge at Pico. Pico shoots at the group nonstop, pushing their dead bodies back into the bus. He notices the gas tank located on the side of the bus. After shooting the gas tank, he makes a huge jump away from the imminent detonation, and the bus explodes—killing whoever was left.
Pico climbs out of the dead remains of the Überkids, and notices there is still one left. He takes out his Uzis and pulls the trigger, only to realize that he has no ammo left. Pico and the Überkid then both charge at and beat the hell out of each other. The Überkid knocks Pico off his feet in a violent flash kick, which Pico returns by launching the Überkid in the air with an uppercut. Pico manages to dropkick the Überkid to the point where he is dizzy and trails off towards the large hole left from the bus explosion, where he almost falls in. Pico charges at and tackles him in the chasm, and the two fall into the abyss where he crushes the Überkid onto the ground so violently, his guts spurt out of his mouth. Pico holds up his arms in triumph, letting out a scream of victory.
Pico climbs out of the crater and rubs his side in pain. He notices another mini shop named Shake-It and heads inside for a drink. He orders a smoothie, and once he realizes it's the Ghettobots running the store, he grabs a hold of a nearby mop and whips it around, preparing for his next battle.
Pico vs. Bear[]
Pico being recruited by The Commissioner to handle an "extremely stupid" hostage situation, due to him being best suited to handle the target. The target, as it turns out, is Pico's favorite kid's show host, Big Brown Bary, who has been shooting children, exposing his genitalia to the press, is armed with a shotgun, and has been injecting himself with adrenaline to enhance his physical ability. Pico has had a personal connection to the bear, but decides to put his feelings behind him, as suggested by the Commissioner.
After being given a briefing of the mission, including a psycho-analysis of the titular bear and his associates made by Dr. Dirk van den Brink, Jr., Pico confronts Big Brown Bary at his front porch, and the two exchange gunfire. As Pico fights off Bary's associates and whittles the bear's health down, Bary then injects himself with adrenaline, enhancing his strength and speed. After more gunfire is exchanged between the two, Pico manages to injure Bary enough to the point where his arms fall off, forcing the ursid menace to retreat into his house with the boy in pursuit.
Upon entering the house, Pico continues to fight off more of Bary's associates and eventually confronts the bear in the kitchen, who utters insane ramblings before revealing to Pico that he has outfitted numerous explosives to himself that will detonate within 30 seconds. With quick marksmanship, Pico manages to electrically short out the explosives and kill Bary, thus saving the remaining children being held hostage in the house.
The Commissioner then congratulating Pico for his efforts and offering that they go out for ice cream, on the condition that he pays next week.
Resident Pico[]
Pico holds off a legion of zombies before dealing with the final one, who happens to be strong. One reason was to save Nene, but she ran off to be eaten.
Friday Night Funkin'[]
Pico was hired by Ex-Rockstar, Daddy Dearest to assassinate his daughter's date after he had humiliated him in a rap battle. Pico went along with this and confronted the two on a rooftop, only to discover the person Girlfriend was dating was Boyfriend, his ex. Not wanting to kill someone he knows, Pico instead settled on trying to beat him in a rap battle, to no success.
In Week 5, Pico can be seen in the background watching Boyfriend rap against Girlfriend's parents.
Sometime later, Pico was again hired by Daddy Dearest to confirm Boyfriend's death after the former sent him and Girlfriend on a trip in an airplane as another attempt to kill him. He was able to survive, but the duo ended up in a battle field and were held at gunpoint by the soldiers of Captain Tankman, who was pissed after losing to Boyfriend in 2 rap battles prior. Seeing this, Pico once again defies Daddy Dearest by protecting Boyfriend through shooting any Tankmen that go near him and Girlfriend in order for Boyfriend to sing another song against the Captain.
Due to the fact that he refused to kill Boyfriend in two separate occasions, Daddy Dearest hired Pico's former classmates, Nene and Darnell to kill the former. The two selfishly accept the deal despite their friendship with Pico and go after him.
In WeekEnd 1, Pico is shown eating a burger and drinking something before noticing Nene, and eventually getting chased by her. He runs into Nene's speakers, and finds Darnell spray-painting a wall. After three songs, Pico and Darnell get into a fist fight when the former runs out of bullets and the latter running out of lighter fluid. The fight results in a draw and the two making up, with Nene getting mad because of it. Pico and Darnell then proceed to face plant on the ground.
Personality[]
Before the events of Pico's School, Pico was described as popular, curious, confident and friendly by his peers, being the first one to raise his hand in class and often speaking up whenever possible. During the destruction of his school, he is shown to act quite reckless and takes action immediately despite the danger he could be running into.
After the events of Pico's School, Pico has developed an aggressive and homicidal side, rarely showing any fear and ruthlessly fighting anyone standing in his way. He is an exceptional gunman and is usually seen dual-wielding his weaponry with remarkable proficiency. His weapons of choice are automatic weapons such as a MAC-10-like pistol or the M16 rifle. He also has tremendous unarmed combat skills, as seen in Pico 2, the unreleased sequel to Pico's School. He is also shown to be quite paranoid as he isn't too trusting of others and is always armed. Despite this, he has proven himself to be a very trustworthy friend and ally to those he does trust, betraying Daddy Dearest twice to spare and even save/assist Boyfriend when ordered to kill him.
In Pico 2, Pico has an unstable personality. Throughout the game, the player can choose from different dialogue options, with Pico usually throwing an insult, sarcastic comment or backhanded compliment into his responses. Pico is described by Darnell as having a non-confrontational, reserved and shy side to him at school, but in public, Pico isn't afraid to confront strangers in his way and even threatens to stick a plastic bag over his local record shop owner's head for refusing to serve him. He is apologetic after his outbursts, and it is implied that he has a hard time controlling his temper.
Pico enjoys marijuana and is seen smoking it 3 times throughout the Pico series. Pico also dreams of becoming a professional DJ. In Pico 2, his interest in DJing is a plot point, and he regularly practices on the turntables with his best friend Darnell.
