Despite Pikachu being mute the entire games, Pikachu still manages to show a lot of personality through his actions.
Pikachu is a determined freedom fighter, who will do anything in order to succeed with his goals. He hates when people are sad, and dislikes evil. Friendship is by far what Pikachu likes the most. Without friends, Pikachu feels lonely and unworthy, this is seen at its peak when Darkrai successfully brainwashed and erased the minds of his friends in Poképark 2: Wonders Beyond, and Pikachu was seen crying over the loss of his friends, because of his liking of friendship, he also easily befriends others and is seen as easy-going and nice. He is always open to a challenge, even if it may cost his own life, seeing as he even battles the extremely powerful Darkrai only to save the world from destruction, and he almost loses the battle, until Darkrai realizes what he has done and saves the world himself.
