Piplup is a Water-type Pokémon from Generation 4.

He was voiced by Etsuko Kozakura in the Japanese version, and by Michele Knotz in the English version (who also voiced Misty, May, Jessie, and various other Pokémon in the same franchise).

Dawn's Piplup

Dawn's Piplup is Dawn's first Pokémon. She befriended him after saving him from an Ariados's attack, when Piplup and Chimchar had fled from Professor Rowan's lab. During Dawn's visit in Unova, Piplup fell in love with Meloetta. Oshawott is also in love with Meloetta, causing Piplup to have a rivalry with Oshawott.
