The next morning, Pippo returns to tell Glikko that he's off to another race and warns him about the dangers and obstacles on his journey to the forest before getting attacked by a cat. Pippo regrets telling Glikko and thinks it's impossible for Glikko to be traveling on foot, but Glikko tells him he has made up his mind and he leaves as Glikko tells him to inform the chipmunks.
Pippo is first seen flying by Glikko's apartment. He tells [[Glikko]] about the other chipmunks of the Northern forest. He tells Glikko that it's impossible because he can't fly. Glikko tells him that he's going. Pippo then tells him about the dangers among the way such as predators including foxes and hawks. A tabby cat then sneaks behind Glikko and attacks him, but misses. Later, Pippo tells Glikko and [[Nono]] that they're close. When the pair are reunited with the other Siberian chipmunks in the forest, Pippo the pigeon sees Fox coming, having followed Nono and Glikko, the chipmunks flee in terror from the beast, whilst Glikko, blaming himself for leading Fox to where all the chipmunks live, tries to fend him off. Nono attempts to help, but is vicious battled aside. So too does Pippo, but Fox grievously wounds him. Both of them survive and Fox pursues Glikko to the edge of a cliff. After Glikko jumps to the other side of the gorge, Fox snaps the branch and plummets to his death. After the chipmunks celebrate for Glikko, Pippo tells Glikko and Nono that he must be going. Glikko tells Pippo that he should tell his sister [[Fluff]] to come to the forest.

Eventually, Glikko, along with a female chipmunk named [[Nono]], manage to make it to the forest. Pippo greets them and informs them that they have finally reached their destination. As the other chipmunks welcome Glikko and Nono, Pippo notices a fox coming after following them. Glikko tries to fend him off and Nono and Pippo try to help, but are vicious battled aside. Both of them survive and Glikko is chased onto a tree near a cliff. The other chipmunks call for Glikko to jump and he successfully jumps, while the fox plummets to his death. Glikko survives and the other chipmunks prepare a feast. Glikko requests Pippo to inform Fluff about the forest and he heads off to another migration race.
