Plagg is a major character in the 2023 musical animated super-heroes and romance movie Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie. Like his original self, he is the kwami of Destruction who is connected to the Cat Miraculous. With his power, Plagg's wearer can use the ring to transform into a cat-themed superhero.
Plagg and his Miraculous are currently active and owned by Adrien Agreste, who uses it to transform into the superhero Cat Noir.
Appearance[]
Plagg's movie version appearance is nearly identical to his TV version except he can transform into an actual black cat with green eyes. Also, unlike his canon counterpart, he has fingers and toes.
Personality[]
Plagg seems to possess a slightly different personality than the one from the original series. Despite still not taking his responsibilities as serious as he should, being lazy and having a cheese addiction, Plagg possesses a much gruffer attitude, causing his nature as the kwami of destruction to be even more evident. This can be seen in his interaction with Adrien, as he treats him more like a kid (and even referring to him as such) and not being afraid of burping and/or farting in front of others.
Despite that, he is not completely indifferent to his holder's needs, as he had warned Adrien about falling in love with other heroes like Ladybug, feeling bad for him when he was rejected by her, and he gave him his space to deal with rejection, only taking him out of it when Paris was in critical peril.
Regarding his cheese addiction, he also prefers to eat smelly cheese from the garbage, instead of a fresh variety of it, what reflects on his constant flatulence.
Abilities[]
Plagg can fly and levitate. Because of being constantly eating stinky cheese from the garbage, Plagg is always releasing a terrible stink from his belches and farts.
Plagg is connected to the Cat Miraculous, and can transform his Miraculous's wielder into a black cat-themed superhero or supervillain and grant them the power of destruction, which requires the wielder. Much like Tikki, Plagg can either force a transformation or de-transformation his holder at will (possibly if his holder doesn't give any orders against it). Plagg is also able to control his jewel, being able to levitate it while being inside it, as seen when he and Tikki set out to seek their holders once Master Fu opened the Miracle Box.
He is also able of shapeshifting, being capable of taking the form of an actual black cat with green eyes.
