Trivia[]

  • Out of all of the Pokédex Holders, there are thirteen boys (Red, Blue Oak, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Black, Blake, X, Sun and Henry) and ten girls (Green, Yellow, Crystal, Sapphire Birch, Platinum Berlitz, White, Whitley, Y, Moon and Casey).
  • Crystal is the only Pokédex Holder who is based on two female playable characters - Kris and Lyra.
  • Platinum and Crystal are the only Pokédex Holders based on a female player character who are named after a solitary Pokémon game. This does NOT include Yellow, as she is not based on a player character.
  • Blake is the only Pokédex Holder who is an agent of the International Police.
  • Whitley was initially the only Pokédex Holder who did not own a Starter Pokémon. However, she was later given the Delphox that was initially given to Trevor at the end of the X & Y chapter as Trevor was having a difficult time raising it, as seen in "Magearna Moves", one of the chapters that was released exclusively in the main Pokémon Adventures Volumes for the X and Y chapter, and not the original mini-volume releases.
  • Red, Blue Oak (Green Okido in Japan), Green (Blue in Japan), Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire Birch, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum Berlitz, Black, White, Blake, Whitley, X, Y (Yvonne Gabena), Sun, Moon, Henry and Casey are based on the player characters and rivals of the games. This excludes Yellow and Emerald, as they are not based on a player character or a rival from the games.
    • However, the characters Wally, Cheren, Bianca, Hugh, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor and Hau from the manga are not included as they are not Pokédex Holders, despite their game counterparts being rivals of the player.
    • However, the first three were initially given their own Pokédex, but later gave them up at some point, with Wally's going to Emerald, and Bianca's going to White.
