Calvin Ellis, born Kalel, is the Superman of Earth 23 and leader of Justice Incarnate. He is a Kryptonian who was raised by a kindly couple on Earth and grew up to become President of the Untied States as well as a superhero known as President Superman.
Biography[]
Many years ago, as the planet of Krypton was facing annihilation along with all its inhabitants, Kryptonian scientists Jorel and Kara launched a rocket containing their infant son Kalel into the depths of space in hopes he would find a new home on another world. Kalel's rocket eventually landed on Earth where a kindly poor couple took the child in and named him Calvin. As he grew up, Calvin was taught to always stand up for himself and fight for what is right regardless of the odds as he developed powers under Earth's yellow sun and became Superman: a champion of justice that fought an ongoing battle against the unjust and oppressive. He also used his civilian identity to involve himself in politics and his views earned him the admiration of people all across America before he was eventually sworn in as president of the United States, a duty he managed with the help of his assistant Courtney and a reprogrammed Brainiac.
During the events of Final Crisis, Calvin and several other versions of Superman across the multiverse were called upon to assist the mainstream Superman in his fight against the corrupted Monitor Dax Novu and help him stabilise his world.
