Prince Grus is a SWORD member in the marines. He has aspirations of becoming an important figure and face of the marines. After rising up through the marine academy with Koby, Helmeppo and others, Prince Grus, became a Rear Admiral and a SWORD member. He is pivotal in saving many people's lives from the Blackbeard Pirates when the marines went to Hachinosu.
He was voiced by Satoshi Hino in Japanese and Ryan Negrón in English.
Personality[]
Prince is shown to be loyal to the marines and willing to fight against pirates to save others. He is shown to be very interested in becoming the face of the marines. In addition, he is shown to be envious of Koby when Garp says that Koby would be the future of the marines. Prince was angry enough to express the idea of sabotaging Koby out loud near his colleagues while on the mission. Even in a dire situation surrounded by enemies, he asks Garp if he would be the future of the marines. Despite his envy, he works along well with his teammates to save a ship full of marines and civilians.
Biography[]
In the past, Prince Grus attended an academy with Helmeppo and Koby to start out his career as a marine. Through the training and work, Prince Grus rise to the position as a SWORD member and rear admiral.
He, along with other marines, went on patrol duty looking for wanted pirates with bounties and encountered Charlotte Lola. He fought against Gotti since the latter thought that he arrested Charlotte Chiffon, Capone Bege's wife. Gotti returned again to attack the marines and rescue Lola. Despite what happened, the marines left Dressrosa.
When Koby is taken by the Blackbeard Pirates on Amazon Lily and brought to Hachinasu, Prince Grus and other marines like Kujaku, Hibari, Helmeppo, and Garp. As Garp attacks the Blackbeard Pirates to try and find Koby, Prince Grus helps to locate Koby and support in the battle against the pirates. He also helped use his clay powers to make sure the ship landed on the island without breaking a part. He got annoyed when Garp refers to Koby as the future of the marines. As Koby runs to the marines, Kuzan appears and freezes Hibari. As Garp fights Kuzan, Prince, Koby, and Helmeppo stays behind to support him against the Blackbeard Pirates. As Pizarro takes on the form of the island and attempts to kill every person on the ship that is leaving the island by destroying it with his giant hand, Garp instructs Prince, Koby, and Helmeppo on a plan to stop Pizarro and save the ship. As Garp attacks Pizarro, Koby also destroys the large rocky hand he uses in the attempt to destroy the ship. Prince uses his clay web to stop the rocky debris from destroying the ship. With Koby and the civilians, saved, Prince and the others return to the ship, but Garp is left behind on the island with the Blackbeard Pirates. Garp tells them to leave the island as says that he sees them as the future of the marines.
