Prince Vladimir is the titular main protagonist of the 2006 animated Russian movie Prince Vladimir.
He was voiced by Sergey Bezrukov.
Biography[]
Vladimir was the grandson and son of Prince Svyatoslav of Kiev, he played with Oleg and Yaropolk as a child, and then they quarreled, but Princess Olga warned them they were the Svyatoslavich brothers of the same nest of the same father. Soon Yaropolk refuses his brother and left. Three princes ruled Russia, three brothers of Svyatoslavich, Yaropolk in Kiev, Oleg in the Drevlyansky Lands and Vladimir in Novgorod, three brothers of Svyatoslavich lived: Prince Yaropolk, who ruled in Kiev, Prince Oleg in the Drevlyansky lands, and Vladimir in Novgorod. The battle of Novgorod with the Kievans begins, and Vladimir and one of the Varangians go to Yaropolk, where the brothers cross swords. Yaropolk wins, after which he tries to explain himself and solve the case peacefully. Vladimir begins to doubt his brother's betrayal, but at this moment the Varangian defeats Yaropolk with the help of Krivzhi. Vladimir is horrified, and he repents of his sin. Depressed by the murder and assuming that Yaropolk could have been talked about, Vladimir, at the suggestion of the governor, decides to unite all the tribes of the Rus into one state. The assembled magi and the tribes themselves stand at the temples of their gods so that they can witness the unification, but Krivzha gives all the blood of the victim to the idol of Perun. People show discontent, and Vladimir is imbued with hatred for the magus, after which the idol of Perun is split by lightning. Then Krivzha plots the prince to die in a forest swamp, and soon Vladimir really goes hunting in the forest. While checking fishing nets, Aleksha accidentally meets Olenka and then the son of the Pecheneg khan, Giyar, whom he rescues from the water. At this moment, the Pechenegs appear and begin chasing the boy. The prince lags behind the squad and, contrary to Krivzhi's expectations, gets out of the swamp, and then out of the forest.
Here he comes across Aleksha, but they are attacked by a wild bison, and, protecting the boy, the prince loses consciousness. While Boyan treats him, the hut is surrounded by Pechenegs. Krivzha tries to kill the prince, but is prevented from doing so by Boyan and Aleksha. Krivzha, once again turning into a huge black werewolf bear with a giant bull body and sharp teeth of a great white shark, goes to the hut and runs into Vladimir. The awakened prince, armed with a torch, begins to take revenge on the priest for lies and treachery. Then Vladimir challenges Kurya to a duel and defeats him. Giyar does not allow the army to continue the battle and orders them to retreat. In a fit of anger, Krivzha aims his staff at Boyana, accidentally falls into an oak tree in which the god Rod is embodied, and dies from the punishment of the deity. It's time for peace and love. Aleksha spends time with Olenka, who is in love with him, and the Byzantine princess Anna is faithfully waiting for the prince at the wedding in Constantinople. While riding together, Vladimir asks Aleksha if the princess liked zhaleika, and he answers in the affirmative. After that, they set off towards dawn. Boyan wishes them luck.
