Princess Alexa is one of the two main protagonists (alongside her best friend Liana) of the 2008 direct-to-DVD animated Barbie film, Barbie & the Diamond Castle.
She is played by Teresa Rivera and voiced by Cassidy Ladden.
History[]
Alexa is a gardener that was lives in the woods with her best friend, Princess Liana. They are mostly share their love of music and sometimes they sing together along with their guitars. One day, a storm ruined their beautiful garden that they sell to make money. One day, they are meet an old woman, with a sack full of rusty things, when they were going to town to sell the flowers left from the ruined garden. When Liana has shares her lunch with the woman, she is offered a gift from the woman. Liana is hesitant but Alexa tells her she will hurt the woman's feelings if she doesn't. Liana chose a rusty mirror. Alexa and Liana got back into their house and Liana washed the mirror, and it turned out to be a beautiful mirror with sparkly flowers with gold, swirling stems. While they're both singing while they're clearing up the whole mess, both of them heard that someone is also there with them. It turns out that there was a woman inside the mirror.
Her name is Melody, and the trio embark on their journey to a hidden Diamond Castle, where she study as an apprentice. Along the way, Liana and Alexa found that the two little puppies on their way to the Diamond Castle. Alexa named hers Lily. By the past, Lydia, a witch who plans to turning the Diamond Castle into darkness, although she living together with Melody and the two muses, Dori and Phaedra. Soon of attempted a coup and arriving in lair, she would empowering her evil spells, and turned her flute into the corrupting weapon. The Diamond Castle with the musical instruments are hidden and the muses give Melody a key to be left, Lydia later turning Dori and Phaedra into stone statues, and forced up to makes her dragon sidekick, Slyder, to sought Melody. However, Melody keeps for her safe and escaping, she using her flute to playing, and hiding in the mirror without discovered by the dragon.
As a result, her flute is already to be destroyed by Slyder, causing Melody getting trapped. Even for this, she and the girls continued to journey. Heads to the village, Alexa and Liana are gets hungry which they not have money, without eating, much to their disappointment. Entered the inn, when she and Liana meet Edger in order to discussion of him, so he was fine with their foods and values. In which is, claimed that they were replacements and times begin to stage a performing. During their performed, Alexa and Liana singing a song "We're Gonna Find It", making all the audience to heed. Melody able to listened that the song is bit beautiful, through she be likes for it. When the puppies coming to dancing, Ian and Jeremy, the two brothers who arriving in the inn, watching the girls and puppies to singing and dancing is very perfect.
After the end of the show, Alexa shared a meals with Liana, while they showed that the boys singing with plays their guitars, too funny that. The girls putting the foods into their baskets, they boring of them and quickly leaving, until the ways, Jeremy and Ian are mocking by civilian and hiding on. Just to thought it, they did not being bullying by everyone anymore. Upon Lydia arriving in an inn with Slyder, she brainwashing Edger and all the people with her dark magical flute, which then covered up her missions to going against Liana and Alexa. Cross to the forest, Liana's pet dog, Sparkles was fear on and hiding to the basket. Alexa and Liana are discovered by Lydia and Slyder, who were trying to making conflict with them. They will stand up to the villains, refused to give them a mirror. As the girls flees, the dragon speeding up to pursue them, and the boys appearing to riding their horses and saving Liana and Alexa.
However, the four heroes leaves, Slyder fail out as he being knocking off. Alexa and Liana sees their puppies, whom running away, they managing to chase them. They later meets a troll, who preparing to eating the dogs and the brothers stops him. After Jeremy and Ian were trapping, he is annoying and to eating them, but never dare does. So be it, Alexa and Liana then gained the riddles for the troll. Its happening that the troll is lost, the girls later heading to the mansion, sees the servants is under controlling of the spell of Lydia. Eventually finds the most foods to be eating and the outfits to be wear, Alexa refusing her plans to help Melody, which Liana will be honor as she wants Melody for do it in this way. Upon the girls are quarrel each other, Melody tried to stop them from taking struggle. Liana leaving from mansion with Sparkles and Lily, Alexa staying with Lily, she would had sadly to takes off her necklace after her friend's betraying.
When Slyder coming into mansion, Alexa open the door and accidentally to kidnapping by him. Taking to the lair, Alexa was blackmailed by Lydia, but told her that she is not with Melody, and Slyder, who sees her basket in attempting to finding the mirror, he was ambushed by Lily. The mirror is not here, Alexa is manipulated by Lydia with her spells, thinks that Liana and Melody are heading to the seven stones. After Slyder went to locations, he captured Liana and taking her to see Lydia, Alexa still under the control unable to stop. Liana trying to help her get rid of the dark magic, they also attacked by Slyder and falling into cliff. Its terrible, almost to demise, Alexa and Liana hope to climbing up, as Lily was in the top, which will help them. She throwing Alexa's necklace, making Liana to seizing for it. After free from Lydia's spell, Alexa returning to normal as she speaking to Liana.
She wearing her necklace again inkling that Melody is taken away by Lydia. The girls later located to the seven stones, they facing Lydia for her makes protest with Melody. Where is that, Ian and Jeremy fought Slyder, Alexa and Lydia are falsely to falling under the spell, Lydia and Melody were being fooling. Also, Lydia making a whirlpool, she can forcing to the girls jumping until their drowned. Liana snatched Lydia's flute, Lydia threats to broken the mirror because the girls don't giving her the flute, much to disgust. Melody breaks herself which wish never lead Lydia to destroying the Diamond Castle, Lydia throws the mirror into whirlpool. As Alexa saving Melody with the help of Liana, Sparkles jumping into the pool and takes back the mirror. Upon Liana throwing Lydia's flute into whirlpool, Lydia going after it which she using it, lead the pool to have disappearing, with the spells blasted. Accidentally falling onto the whirlpool, Lydia probably to defeated.
Alexa and Liana considered that Melody's famous song "Believe" is the hidden key to unlocked the Diamond Castle, they singing together and revealed the Diamond Castle. Their dresses are turning into a new gowns, Melody releasing from the mirror and hugs with Alexa and Liana. Following to the castle and that had agree find the muses instruments together with Melody, Alexa and Liana are takes it, and Lydia and Slyder returning to takes revenge, attacking them. The girls hurry to taking the instruments, they worked up sings to playing together by defeating the villains, which turned on them into stone statues. Afterwards, the other muses turned back to humans, and all the people are recovered, but Lydia's magic was gone.
When Melody reunited with Dori and Phaedra, Alexa and Liana would crowning to becomes a princesses of music. The muses appointing Melody as the new muse, they give the princesses a magical seeds, as the puppies were also crowned. Ian and Jeremy played the blue electricity rocked guitars gives by the girls, Alexa and Liana started to share a party with them. Left the castle, the girls takes a carriage and returned to their home, alongside with the dogs, they bid farewell to the muses and the boys. When Alexa planting the seeds, and that she grows into the flowers with the diamonds, with Liana. They sees the boys playing their guitars to performs, so much to be happy even after.
