Princess Bonnibel "Bonnie" Bubblegum, also nicknamed PB, is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Simon Petrikov) of Cartoon Network's Adventure Time franchise.
She is the Princess and creator of the Candy Kingdom, who is Finn Mertens' close ally and former crush. She is also Marceline Abadeer's best friend-turned-girlfriend and the arch-nemesis of both Uncle Gumbald and The King of Ooo.
The character makes her debut in the animated short overall and her official debut in Slumber Party Panic. She is a hero in her own right: in the episode "Lady & Peebles," she personally rescues Finn and Jake (after both went missing for three weeks), and defeats the antagonist Ricardio the Heart Guy. She frequently gets kidnapped by the Ice King (to be rescued by Finn and Jake).
She is voiced by Hynden Walch who also voiced Penny Sanchez from ChalkZone, Starfire from Teen Titans and her reboot incarnation, Jenny McBride in The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue, Nia Teppelin, Alice, and Wendy (After Kathryn Beaumont was retired), and Isabella Acres as her younger self in two episodes.
Appearance[]
Bubblegum has light pinked skin as well as dark pink around her clothes and mainly her long hair, she has human characteristics sporting dotted eyes, speech and mannerism. When she came out of the Mother Gum, her appearance is marshmallow-like and long dark pink hair around while keeping her human attributes.
Personality[]
Princess Bubblegum is shown as brave, confident and highly intelligent. She is quite calm, kind and well-spoken most of the time, although she can also show a more short-tempered and even malicious side to her when she's crossed. She also demonstrates a compulsive side when it comes to experimenting on different occasions, She is also quite inclined to aid Finn with technology which would help him in his quests. However, one of Bubblegum's most defining traits is her great care and overprotectiveness towards her candy people, whom she views as her own children, and she goes to very great lengths to ensure their safety. This can drive her to work herself to the point of exhaustion, and unfortunately, even lead her to taking morally questionable and authoritarian measures, like constantly spying on everyone as a means to quickly identify anyone and anything that could be a threat. However, at the end of the day, this is very much out of a desire to protect everyone, and to some extent, the result of the pressure she's constantly under to be a responsible ruler to her people.

Candy Physiology: Princess Bubblegum has demonstrated her hidden abilities when inherently becoming sentient Gum, with the thanks of Chatsburry, she was able to unlock her hidden powers and learned to mentally control them. In the short Have you seen this Muffin Mess, She was able to mold her arm back after touching a replicating muffin and able to survive with a quarter of her head missing when it was stolen by Ice King to create his own Princess.
Genius-level Intelligence: Bonnibel Bubblegum is one of the few smartest beings after the great war in the land of Ooo, gifted at a young age, until then she is dedicated onto using her scientific mind numerous times, and implied to have occult Knowledge she shares with Peppermint Butler when she makes a Sandwich for Cinnamon Bun, BubbleGum build advanced technology to use to fight and to protect her people. her inventions are so advanced that it even counteracts the Lich King's dark magic, possessing Finn when wearing the sweater she gave to him. She if fully onto using her inventions for her own people, even far as to inputting tracking devices and spying on their little meetings until Peacemaster showed one of her cameras, She is compulsive when it comes to other people like Flame Princess if they are too dangerous and wishing to experiment them, even at the slightest detail.
Hand-To-Hand Combat: Princess Bubblegum is also a hard fighter, showing off her martial arts by single handingly defeating Richardio and ripping one of his Limbs.
Strategist: Princess Bubblegum never lets her guard down when it comes to war, when aiding her banana Guards jet pacts and Giant Gumball Guardians to fight against Maya the Witch and her Tree Demon, She also fights fierce when it comes to Gumbald threatening her Kingdom, which she is determined to find plans to defeat him, even showing a little bit of mercy when Finn and Jake returned with a supposed signed Treaty from Gumbald until it was a trap.
Multilingualism: Princess Bubblegum is able to understand instances of fluent languages such as German, Korean due to being able to communicate and understand with Lady Rainicorn and English.
Inventing Skills: Princess Bubblegum has shown to be adapt with her environment when ruling and stabilising her own kingdom with advanced technology, being able to single-handedly maintaining the sole government and well-being of her people by creating potions to bring them to life at a young age, She decides to create her own family using her interests of science and building complex plans to bring her creations and the candy people to life.

At some point, after the Great War, Princess Bubblegum was formed from a sentient being known as the mother gum, where it would provide a young Marceline with chicken soup by giving it to Simon to ensure their survival. At some point, Bonnibel then left her gooey hatch, growing limbs and exploring the pond near her, She then guides her brother Neddy along with her, unfortunately he became emotionally distraught by landing on a sharp rock, letting out a terrified scream. Bubblegum then made a special calming technique which put him to sleep. Bonnibel would then took her brother and built a house around a candy tree after following him, where he would provide brown candy liquid from the tree and through Neddy. Bonnibel learned about the idea of having a family where she would build a machine and create her “relatives” from her own gum and brought them to life in her machine, including (Uncle Gumbald, Aunt Lolly and cousin Chiclay) to cope with being alone, the group then build a little town, however Gumbald had bigger plans and secretly plotted against Bubblegum by spiking her food with “dumdum juice” he created, which would have turned her into a feeble and different candy minion if not for Bubblegum eavesdropping on their plans after leaving Cream put who was created to be Bubblegum's now Ex-boyfriend. Cousin Chiclay and Aunt Lillie were unintentionally offered the samples of DumDum Juice from cupcakes which turned them both into candy people by Gumbald. Bonnibel confronts her Uncle and uses her pea shooter which dosed Gumbald with all the dumdum juice, becoming punchy. The transformed group then praised Bonnibel, as she herself would declare herself princess.
in The Vault, Bubblegum began using her science knowledge to expand the kingdom into bigger pictures, where she befriends Shoko (an ancestor of Finn Mertens) where ultimately would steal her necklace used to power her new Candy Guardians from her and landing on a green pool. Which she was unable to save her, afterwards Shoko then comforted herself onto a tree which would then be housed by Marceline and later Finn and Jake years later.
