Princess Courtney, also simply known as Courtney, is a supporting character in the 2006 direct-to-DVD animated Barbie film, Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. She is the third eldest daughter of King Randolph and the late Queen Isabella's twelve daughters. Courtney loves to read, and her sisters say she always has her nose in a book. Her favorite gem is the sapphire.
Courtney and her sisters discover a magical world of ballet dancing. Like her sisters, Courtney loves to dance. When their father's evil cousin, Duchess Rowena, arrives at their home and tries to take over the kingdom by killing King Randolph, Courtney and her sisters work together to defeat her.

Personality
Courtney spends a lot of time reading and not paying attention to her surroundings. Because of this, she often stumbles. Because she is oblivious to what's happening around her.
Blair or Ashlyn would have to tap her on the shoulder to bring her back to Earth and make sure she doesn't hurt herself cause it's what older sisters like Ashyln and Blair are for.
She can be brave, such as when she corrected Rowena who called her Lacey. Courtney is more calm than the rest of her sisters.
Physical Appearance
Courtney is a slender woman with light skin, brown eyes, and long brown hair held in a high bun by a blue band. Her gown is a dress with a forget-me-not flower and some decorations on the front. The gown Rowena makes Courtney wear is the same as her gown, but is gray and has no decorations.
Her nightgown is a long plain white dress. At night, Courtney keeps her hair loose with only a blue ribbon. Her ballet outfit is the same as her gown, except the skirt is smaller and she gains blue ballet slippers.
In the video game, Courtney wears her ballet outfit, but her hair is loose instead.
