|“||Hi, I'm Daisy!||„|
|~ Princess Daisy's infamous line.|
Princess Daisy Sarasa, more casually known as Daisy, is a recurring character and the female deuteragonist of the Mario video game series. She is the ruler of Sarasaland. Despite this, she currently resides in the Mushroom Kingdom.
She is also the best friend of Princess Peach. She is shown to be the stronger princess out of the two. Despite being a sweet and very beautiful princess, Daisy is a tomboy, something first stated in her debut appearance, Super Mario Land.
In complement to her name, she has an affinity for flowers. Her attire, special abilities, personal emblems, and general representations are often flowers as well.
She first appeared in Super Mario Land on the Game Boy in 1989, and did not reappear (outside cameos) until Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 eleven years later. Like Waluigi, Daisy was playable in every Mario spin-off game to date.
After an early hiatus, she was reintroduced due to a lack of human characters in the series. Nowadays, she appears far more often in the Mario spin-off games than in the main series.
Daisy has appeared in all of the Mario & Sonic installments up to date since the very first game, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, a game for both the Wii and Nintendo DS.
She was also originally planned to appear as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but she instead became an alternate palette swap for Peach instead until Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where she is an Echo Fighter for her best friend.
Daisy is Luigi's love interest.
Daisy is a human with blue eyes and pale skin. Her hair ginger and is roughly shoulder-length. She wears a crown with a flower on it, a long, yellow, and orange flower-like dress with a flower on her chest, white gloves, and flower earrings. She wears orange pumps. In the series of Mario and Sonic, she wears an orange gymnastic dress, hot short pants and orange gymnastic shoes with white socks in the normal sports. In the aquatic sports she wears an orange leotard and bathing suit.
Like with Peach, Daisy's Super Smash Bros. design features and more ornate versions of her usual dress, gloves, and crown.
In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, she is seen wearing the appropriate outfits for all events. Besides her default outfit, in which she uses it for most events, she also has a karate gi for Karate, a red equestrian uniform and gloves for Equestrian, a white fencing outfit with orange details for Fencing, and a black wetsuit with yellow details for Surfing.
Daisy is a tomboyish, sporty, cheerful, happy, energetic, spunky, determined and fun loving girl. She is also witty and a thrill seeker. Daisy is a girl who can look out for herself and not a girl who needs to be rescued. She is extremely loyal to her friends while being kind, polite and friendly as well. Unlike Peach, Daisy doesn't act like royalty; she doesn't care about being prim, prissy, poised or proper. Daisy is a laud, confident, cocky, tough girl while also being strong, brave, caring, and sassy. At the same time, she's also gentle and sweet.
She’s an upbeat girl who is known to be arrogant, stubborn, and childish at times. But despite this she is polite, kind and friendly as well. Daisy is also feisty, fiery, ambitious, determined, and a go getter. She is spirited but can also be stubborn as well a hot head who likes doing things her way. Daisy is a girl who will say what's on her mind. She gets straight to the point of being very blunt and frank with the truth. She is sarcastic, hot blooded, cheeky, impulsive, hard headed, but also selfless. Daisy is also very passionate about the things she loves and cares for. Daisy is an independent girl who can't be bossed or pushed around by others. She is overbearing, cheeky and pushy sometimes. She will also tease people as well, showing a more mischievous and playful side. She will taunt others boast, brag, gloat, and show off. She is also known to be hot tempered.
Daisy is charismatic, using her charisma and her charm to her advantage and help her friends. Despite being an adult, Daisy is childish sometimes. She will play pranks and tricks on people for fun. She is a lively, outspoken girl. She flaunts around and very outgoing as well Daisy is also a girl the spotlight. She is competitive and loves to get attention, but despite this and many of her flaws, she is girl who can be trusting. Sometimes, she will trust people too much. Daisy has also been shown to be a daring risk taker. Because of her competitive side, she can be ruthless, frank, and blunt. Even though she is a character who has honor and respect, she is mischievous and will use tricks to win events. Daisy has shown that she enjoys playing tricks and messing with people.
While Daisy is a huge tomboy who is a passionate sports girl as she is always happy to play them and is very energetic, she has a girly streak, And it's a really big girly streak too. While Daisy is probably roughly 60% a tomboy, she is roughly 40% girly. In many of the games that she appears in, it's not apparent that she's a tomboy at all unless you've already been told about it. She wears a dress that's nearly as girly as Peach's (and the only reason that it isn't is because the color's yellow rather than pink), she has a flower motif on all of her outfits, and she prides herself as being "the fairest of them all". Her Mario Super Sluggers collectible card info defines this trope: "Daisy may be a tough girl, but she still likes to make things pretty."

They head off to the duel board afterward. When the player defeats Daisy, she bursts into tears and flees in frustration. In the game, Daisy's default duel board partner is a Snifit.
