− | '''Princess Daisy Sarasa''' is one of the main characters of the ''Mario'' video game series. She is the ruler of Sarasaland, she currently resides in the Mushroom Kingdom. She is shown to be the more intelligent princess out of the two. She is also the best friend of [[Princess Peach]]. Despite being a sweet and very beautiful princess, Daisy is a tomboy, something first stated in her debut appearance, ''Super Mario Land''. In complement to her name, she has an affinity for flowers. Her attire, special abilities, personal emblems, and general representations are often flowers, as well. She first appeared in ''Super Mario Land'' on the Game Boy in 1989, and was a forgotten character until ''Mario Tennis'' for the Nintendo 64 eleven years later, like [[Waluigi]], Princess Daisy was playable in every ''Mario'' spin-off game to date. After an early hiatus, Daisy was reintroduced due to a lack of human characters in the series. She appears most often in the Mario spin-off games. |

==Appearance== |
||
− | Daisy is a human with blue eyes |
+ | Daisy is a human with blue eyes and pale skin. Her hair ginger and is roughly shoulder-length. She wears a golden crown with a flower on it, a long, yellow, and orange flower-like dress with a flower brooch on her chest, white gloves, and flower earrings. She also wears orange pumps. |
+ | |||
+ | Prior to her appearance in ''Mario Party 4'', Daisy originally wore an alternate outfit. Her dress had a different design with white triangular patterns and spots on the lower part of her skirt instead orange stripes. The skirt was also not layered and the dress's midsection was colored white. Daisy's hair was longer and she wore a pink crown. |
||
+ | |||
+ | In the series of ''Mario and Sonic'', she wears an orange gymnastic dress, hot short pants and orange gymnastic shoes with white socks in the normal sports. In the aquatic sports she wears an orange leotard and bathing suit. |
||
+ | |||
+ | Like with Peach, Daisy's ''Super Smash Bros.'' design features and more ornate versions of her usual dress, gloves, and crown. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ===Alternate Outfits=== |
||
+ | In ''Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020'', she is seen wearing the appropriate outfits for all events. Besides her default outfit, in which she uses it for most events, she also has a karate gi for Karate, a red equestrian uniform and gloves for Equestrian, a white fencing outfit with orange details for Fencing, and a black wetsuit with yellow details for Surfing. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ==Personality== |
||
+ | Daisy is a cheerful, energetic, courageous, determined, fun, extroverted and slightly clumsy girl. She is generally someone who can take care of herself, not a girl who needs rescuing. She is also extremely loyal to her friends while being kind, polite and friendly. Unlike Peach, Daisy doesn't act like a royal, because she doesn't care about being stuffy, elegant, balanced or correct, so most of the time, she acts more casual and tomboyish. However, while she is generally a positive character, she can also be arrogant, stubborn and childish at times, which is demonstrated in some of the spin-offs where she's quick to brag about herself when she does well at a particular sport or activity, and conversely, can be quite a sore loser when she does poorly, even moreso than other characters. She is also feisty, fiery, ambitious, determined and a go-getter who likes to do things her own way. In conjunction with that, she is also someone who is very blunt and straightforward, not hesitating to say exactly what she thinks. |

Princess Daisy is a major character in the Super Mario franchise.
She is the cheerful, energetic ruler of Sarasaland, who was once rescued by Mario from an alien warlord named Tatanga. Afterwards, she became core member of Mario's friend group, notably being Princess Peach's best friend and Luigi's love interest.
She is voiced by Kate Fleming in Mario Tennis on Nintendo 64, Jen Taylor in the Mario Party series up until Mario Party 6, and Deanna Mustard in most instalments from 2003 to 2022. As of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, she is currently voiced by Giselle Fernandez.
Appearance
Daisy is a human with blue eyes and pale skin. Her hair ginger and is roughly shoulder-length. She wears a golden crown with a flower on it, a long, yellow, and orange flower-like dress with a flower brooch on her chest, white gloves, and flower earrings. She also wears orange pumps.
Prior to her appearance in Mario Party 4, Daisy originally wore an alternate outfit. Her dress had a different design with white triangular patterns and spots on the lower part of her skirt instead orange stripes. The skirt was also not layered and the dress's midsection was colored white. Daisy's hair was longer and she wore a pink crown.
In the series of Mario and Sonic, she wears an orange gymnastic dress, hot short pants and orange gymnastic shoes with white socks in the normal sports. In the aquatic sports she wears an orange leotard and bathing suit.
Like with Peach, Daisy's Super Smash Bros. design features and more ornate versions of her usual dress, gloves, and crown.
Alternate Outfits
In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, she is seen wearing the appropriate outfits for all events. Besides her default outfit, in which she uses it for most events, she also has a karate gi for Karate, a red equestrian uniform and gloves for Equestrian, a white fencing outfit with orange details for Fencing, and a black wetsuit with yellow details for Surfing.
Personality
Daisy is a cheerful, energetic, courageous, determined, fun, extroverted and slightly clumsy girl.
