Ji Xuanyuan, better known as Princess Xuanyuan is a minor heroine in Honkai Impact 3rd. She is the legendary Yellow Empress of Shenzhou who took up slaying Houkai beasts to protect her people after developing natural Stigma and being blessed with Xuanyuan Sword. Following her sacrificing herself to imprison a gargantuan Honkai Beast under the sea known as Chiyou, she resided inside the monster for eons with part of her consciousness remaining dormant within the Xuanyuan Sword. There she grew increasingly nihilistic and lonely after , and her body became tainted with darkness along with her sword which led to her becoming corrupted and becoming Dark Jixuanyuan.
Appearance[]
Jixuanyuan was a petite young woman who wore a beautiful orange dress and many bracelets on her right arm. She had dark hair she wore in an intricate hairstyle with many ornaments accompanying it and amber eyes.
While corrupted, Jixuanyuan' dress is now simpler and sleek. Her eyes have now become paler than usual and glow bright red whenever she becomes agitated.
Personality[]
Jixuanyuan was a strong and caring woman who would always stand up for and protect the innocent. In spite of her formidability in battle, she was a gentle and compassionate woman at heart.
After being corrupted and becoming Dark Jixuanyuan, her will to become a hero and save people has almost entirely eroded and she is now nihilistic and ruthless. However, she still expresses gratitude towards Kiana, Mei, Bronya, and Himeko after the girls kill Chiyou and free her.
Biography[]
Jixuanyuan is a mysterious young girl who lived during 2717 BC and the first known human to have powers that made her a formidable opponent to the Houkai. After being crowned as Empress, Xuanyuan became acquainted with Shennong along with Fu Hua, Nuwa and Fuxi, the three Pioneers of Project EMBER. She met the twins when Dr. MEI gave them the duty of safeguarding the Jixuanyuan sword by travelling the land until they met Xuanyuan who they gave the sword to. This resulted in Xuanyuan's natural stigmata being awakened, but thanks to the technological progression of the civilization, Chiyou, the first Judgment-class Honkai Beast of the Current Era, attacked the Nine Realms. Nuwa and Fuxi all fought the beast and died in the process, but Xuanyuan sacrificed herself in order to guard the ancient seals imprisoning Chiyou and did so by sealing herself in the monster's belly. Over the millennia she spent alone inside Chiyou, the darkness inside the beast corrupted Xuanyuan and her sword. Afterwards her disappearance, Jixuanyuan's existence became known as a legend among the people of Shenzhou, along with her weapon and stigmata.
Thousands of years following Xuanyuan's sacrifice, Murata Himeko along with Valkyrie Squad V (consisting of Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik) discovered Chiyou and, with the help from the Empress within the monster enchanting their weapons in their favors, slayed Chiyou and released Xuanyuan from her eternal loneliness and imprisonment. Xuanyuan gave them Divine Key and expressed gratitude towards the girls for rinally putting an end to her prolonged torment before her soul finally departed.
