Principal Celestia first appeared when Twilight goes to her office for the crown, she tells her that she could get a crown if she would be voted as Princess of Fall Formal. At the Fall Formal, she gave the crown to Twilight as the winner. She later commends Twilight in her role for defeating Sunset Shimmer.

Principal Celestia first appeared in the gymnasium along with Vice Principal Luna to check on students making signs and posters for CHS Musical Showcase. She expresses her hope that it will be more better than the last Fall Formal, causing the students coldly staring at Sunset. After the Dazzlings' arrival at Canterlot High, the Rainbooms tried to warn Celestia and Luna, but they're already hypnotized. Celestia and Luna serves as the judge for Battle of the Bands, where the Dazzlings hypnotize them to disfavor the Rainbooms.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games[]
Principal Celestia and Vice Principal attempt to raise school with a pep rally before the Friendship Games take place until Rainbow Dash interrupts it. Later, she welcomes Principal Cinch and Dean Cadance, and later gives them a tour of Canterlot High. When she sees the human counterpart of Twilight Sparkle, she believes her to be Twilight's twin sister. During the Friendship Games, she denies any involvement of magic in games. After Sci-Twi transformed into Midnight Sparkle and later turned back to normal, Celestia and the others standing up to Principal Cinch. In the end, she welcomes Sci-Twi as a new student at Canterlot High.

Principal Celestia, along with her sister, serves as a chaperone during CHS' field trip to Camp Everfree. She and Luna stated that they have gone to Camp Everfree when they were young, and they have fond memories of the camp and contributing a stone studial as their traditional camp gift.
