Private Lucky is a canine that serves Captain Fields' United States Army squad.

Lucky was trained as a U.S. Army canine and was trained by Sergeant Thompson. Lucky is the last remaining canine of Captain Fields' squad after the rest were either killed or mutated by the Great War/World War III, such as those mutated by the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) into mutant hounds that serve Super Mutants. Lucky played a vital role in the team's escape from Pittsburgh sometime after the Great War, though not without injury. Lucky, along with his squad came back to Appalachia, setting up their new base in a ransacked bunker that used to belong to the Free States. Lucky later moved to Foundation after the Vault Dweller came to ask the squad's help in getting the gold from Vault 79. Though Captain Fields had his suspicions, when Thompson, Radcliff, and Lucky all vouch that they can trust the residents of Vault 76, he agrees to lend his squad's support for the operation.
