Professor Frankly is a supporting character in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He is an archaeologist professor who helps Mario in his search for the Seven Crystal Stars and was originally the teacher of Goombella and Kolorado.
Biography[]
Professor Frankly lives in a building on the east side of Rogueport next to Merlon's place of business. He is Goombella's old school professor who is researching into the Thousand-Year Door and the legendary treasure that lay behind it. From start to finish, Frankly uses his research to inform Mario about the legends surrounding The Thousand-Year Door and their relation to the X-Naut's plans. He also helps Mario by showing him how to use Action Commands, wearing Badges, and directs him to the next Crystal Star's location.
