Professor Grace Granville is a major character in Big Hero 6: The Series.
She is voiced by Jenifer Lewis; who also played Flo in Cars franchise, Mama Odie in The Princess and the Frog and Suga Mama in The Proud Family franchise.
Background[]
Professor Granville has been a robotics professor at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology for over twenty years. Her best student was Bob Aiken. One day Aiken was making an energy amplifier, but something went wrong and the experiment blew up in his face, sending him to the hospital.
Although Aiken recovered, Granville held herself responsible for this and resigned, but she kept the remains of Aiken's amplifier (which unknown to anyone was still working), so as to never forget her past mistake.
Ten years later she returned, this time as a thermodynamics teacher when Principal Robert Callaghan was thought to have died in a fire. When Callaghan was discovered and arrested, having become a criminal, she became the new principal.
Personality[]
Professor Granville was once a very relaxed and kind teacher to everyone, but after a serious accident she became easily irritable and very strict, as she is very careful, but still helps everyone, especially her student Karmi, the most intelligent in her class.
She seems to be very intimidating and authoritative with Hiro, as she considers him problematic and imprudent, but she actually turns out to be worried about him because she fears that she would end up like Bob Aiken.
She is also very intelligent as she has been able to figure out on her own for an unknown amount of time that six of her students are the Big Hero 6.
Physical appearance[]
Granville is an African American woman with black hair and brown eyes. She has gold earrings in her ears as well as necklace around her neck and a black long-sleeved shirt and a long gray pencil skirt.
