Dr. Prof. Lisa Marie Simpson is the main protagonist of "Ei8ht", the second segment from The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror XXXIV."

She is Lisa Simpson from an alternate timeline where Sideshow Bob succeeds in killing Bart Simpson right in front of her, which gives her a split personality, one of which is her being a renowned criminal psychologist who must track down a serial killer, who turns out to be her alternate persona.

Like her main timeline counterpart, she was voiced by Yeardley Smith.

Biography[]

Lisa's life was the same as her main timeline's self-up until October 7, 1993 (the episode "Cape Feare") when her family, who were in the Witness Protection Program as the Thompson family, was bounded in their adrift houseboat by Sideshow Bob and she watched as he murdered her older brother Bart. Though Bob was arrested and imprisoned for life in Springfield Maximum Security Prison, the event traumatized her to the point of creating an alter personality dedicated to kill Bob one day.

Over the next thirty years of her life, from the fallout of the death of Bart, her mother Marge would die of sorrow and eventually her father Homer died choking on a tennis ball. Despite the cascading decline of her immediate family, she was able to be the country's foremost criminal psychologist and even help the police catch criminals such as the "East Side Strangler". She was even praised by Oprah "for turning her trauma into healing." Yet, unbeknownst to herself, her alter plotted numerous crimes so heinous in brutal fashion as such in order to let herself be sent to the same prison as her true target Sideshow Bob with the Aid from her last surviving member of her family.
