Professor Moshimo is the overarching protagonist of Robotboy. He is a world-renowned scientist and the kindly creator of Robotboy and Robotgirl, Tommy Turnbull's mentor and Dr. Kamikazi and Protoboy's archenemy.
He is voiced by Togo Igawa, who also voiced Hiro in Thomas & Friends.
Biography[]
Moshimo is the Japanese scientist who invented Robotboy, Robotgirl, Robotbird, Protoboy, and Robotman. He received a letter from Tommy Turnbull about him looking forward to his latest invention. As a result, Professor Moshimo sent him Robotboy to take care of. He keeps in touch with Tommy and Robotboy to send upgrades for Robotboy or help them fix the problem of the day.
He is engaged to his young Japanese assistant Miu Miu. Despite the vast age difference between the two, Miumiu appears to care deeply for the professor and has attempted to interrupt the professor's work with acts of affection. His enemies are Dr. Kamikazi, Protoboy, Bjorn Bjornson, Klaus Von Affenkugel, Ludwig, and Brainy Yak, despite not seeing the latter as a rival or archenemy.
Appearance[]
Moshimo is an old man with balding white spiky hair. He wears glasses, a white lab coat, yellow gloves, brown pants and boots.
In a "The Legend of Brainy Yak" flashback, he had buck teeth and black hair, and he wore a wooden ushanka, a red scarf, blue pants, and watermelons on his feet to make them look like shoes. Underneath his ushanka.

- His first name being Akira was confirmed by Jan Van Rijsselberge on Facebook.
- He has appeared approximately 28 episodes of the series.
- He was originally supposed to be Tommy's uncle in the early concept for the show.
- In the Robotboy - Special Edition CD-ROM, in the series' story, it's confirmed that Professor Moshimo himself is Japanese. An advertisement from Cartoon Network published in October 2005 also confirmed his Japanese descent.
- Professor Moshimo has called Gus, "Goose" on numerous occasions. This is either due to not knowing how to pronounce Gus' name properly or knowing of Gus' foolish behavior, as "Goose" can also mean "fool". It could also be a nod to the minor Disney character, Gus Goose.
