Professor Owl (also known as Mr. Owl) is the main character in the Disney series Adventures in Music. He is a light blue owl who serves as a teacher to the birds. Voiced by Bill Thompson in 1953, he is voiced by Corey Burton since Disney Sing-Along Songs from 1986-1999.
History
Melody
Professor Owl teaches his class about where singing comes from two singing species: bird and human. During the lesson, he teaches the class about the lifespan of a human. Next, he tells his class about how to draw picture in melody and the grand finale about a song. The song he taught about is where music comes from birds, crickets, and weeping willow trees caused by Mother Nature.
Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom
In this final short, he teaches the class about where music comes from instruments. First, he teaches where music really came from the Stone Age where cave dwellers used their instruments. For each of them, the instruments get better in the continuing years.
Disney Sing-Along Songs
Professor Owl is currently voiced by Corey Burton. Here, he doesn't teach the class about where music comes from and where singing comes from two species. He appeared from 1986-1999. He teaches the viewer to sing songs from his class. As of 2003, he is replaced by Sebastian the Crab.
House of Mouse
Mr. Owl is mostly seen in the opening title of the TV series, House of Mouse. In one episode, he is seen with the other three owls from other Disney media.
