The Protagonist is the playable character in the video game I Am Alive.

The Protagonist was presumably enjoying his time with his wife, Julie and his daughter, Mary. This was until an event of earthquakes and dust storms his Haventon. The protagonist was injured and was sent on a boat on his own. After he recovered, he walked back to Haventon with a camera.
I Am Alive[]
The Protagonist went to Haventon to look for his wife and daughter, only to be met by a man holding a gun up to him. The Protagonist later went to the streets where he saw that gangs have taken over. The Protagonist would later enter a small area where he forced someone with a machete to fall from a cliff and take his weapon away from him, leading him to open a gate with it. The Protagonist later fought against some members of a gang and later gave a victim a first aid kit. The Protagonist continued to head over to where he used to live, only to notice that both his wife and daughter are no longer there. After he heard a young girl, leading him to go look for and then chase her, thinking that the young girl was his daughter, Mary. This lead to the Protagonist to attack a group that cornered the girl and later listened to the girl's phone where a man named Henrey gave them directions to reach a now abandoned market, but not before being caught in a dust storm. The Protagonist would later bring the girl to the top of the market and later learned that her nam was Mei, he later noticed that Mei was sick due to the constant dust storms, leading to him to ask Henrey where to find some medicane. The Protagonist would than leave the market, but not before giving a victim an inhaler. The Protagonist would than enter a skyscraper, picking up any items they might help him and later fighting against a gang until he picked up some medicine and later took a grapalling hook, leading him to look for a way down, but not before helping another victim, by removing his hand from a pile of rubble and giving him a first aid kit. The Protagonist would than head back to the market, but not before fighting against a gang, he would later give the medicine to Mei, only to later head underground. Underground, the Protagonist fought againt a small gang and saved a victim by pointing a gun at the person next to him, that mey have took that person's life. Both the Protagonist and Mei would have later entered a part of the underground where cannibals lived, some of the cannibals offered the two some of their meat, however, the Protagonist would later go in the cannibals' back rooms and took down some of them and freed their captives. The Protagonist would later leave by climbing on a few trains, fighting against another gang and gave a woman in the sewers a pair of food cans, leading to both the Protagonist and Mei heading to Henrey's appartment. After arriving, the Protagonist noticed why Henrey could not traverse around Haventon the same way he could, leading to Henrey to look after Mei and giving him his bow and a single animal. The Protagonist later went on a boat that was stranded in the city under the orders of Henrey. On the boat, the Protagonist went to fight against a gang stationed their, saved some one from being torchered and rescued some one that was in pain, only to later take a transmitter from the boat and leave, but not before fighting against more members of the gang on the landed boat. The Protagonist later went back to Henrey's appartment and have him the transmitter, only to hear the Mei's mother is in some place called the 'Blue Hotel', leading to the Protagonist to head their next. Once in the hotel, the Protagonist gave a pair of women a first aid kit and later went to fight against the gang in the hotel. The Protagonist went upstairs, saved a woman that about to be raped and later rescued Mei's mother. Both the Protagonist and Mei's mother, who's name is Linda later left the hotel, diccussing the event that happened about a year ago and what happened to both them and their families. The Protagonist did fight off more gang members and rescued another woman, only to later head back to Henrey's appartment with Linda. Henrey later asked the Protagonist if he could light some fireworks on a tall building after he found a boat signal. The Protagonist later went to climb a building, noticing some people with guns and a machette, leading him to climb on the outside of that floor to reach the second floor. The Protagonist later gave an ill man some rehydration salts. The Protagonist later went in the elavator shaft and reach farther up and climbed the out side of the skyscraper to place some fireworks and later climbed down the building, but not before fixing the two elevators. The Protagonist later went to fight against a couple of street gangs and later went to help some of the other victims; giving a man in a small cave area a first aid kit, giving a dying man a cigarette, saved a woman from a gang of three, giving a woman a tomato, saved a man from a pile of rubble, gave an old woman a bottle of wine and gave a strange man some meat, an inhaler, food cans, a fruit cocktail and some soda cans. In the last victim was given all of the items, he would give the Protagonist a loaded shotgun. The Protagonist would later meet back up with Linda, only to hear that a gang kidnapped both Henrey and Mei. Both the Protagonist and Linda went to the peir, where he gave Linda his gun and told her to head to the docks, leading to the Protaoginst to give a wounded guy a first aid kit and fighting against a gang once again until he rescued Mei. the Protagonist brought Mei to Linda and sent the two on a boat, only for Mei to give him a plushie. After this, it is assumed that the Protogonist found his wife and daughter, only to die afterwards.

- The Protagonist was originally going to be called Adam Collins, where he would have been an office worker instead of an unnamed man with an unknown job.
