Pure Vanilla Cookie is one of the five overarching protagonists (alongside Hollyberry Cookie, Dark Cacao Cookie, Golden Cheese Cookie, and White Lily Cookie) of the 2021 role-playing game Cookie Run: Kingdom.
He was the founder, first king, and ambassador of the Vanilla Kingdom, leader of the legendary five Ancient Heroes that fought against Dark Enchantress Cookie.
He is voiced by Kim Ye-rim in Korean, Maaya Uchida in Japanese, and Yuri Lowenthal in English, who also voices Marth in the Fire Emblem series and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Appearance[]
Pure Vanilla Cookie is a male cookie with tortilla brown skin color, blond hairs, white eyebrows, a star symbol on his forehead and having his eyes commonly closed making him possibly blind. It’s later on revealed that he has heterochromia, his left eye being blue and right eye being golden yellow.
As the king of the Vanilla Kingdom, he wears an ice cream pancake cone crown on his head, pancakes clothing with the Vanilla Kingdom’s symbol on in the middle and wears a white robe underneath along with two long pancake ribbons. He often holds his staff named the “Staff Blind Healer's Staff”. According to a loading screen, it says that whenever his eyes are opened than his staff’s eye will close.
Personality[]
He is respected by many, as he wants to uses his magic powers for good and justices. He appears to be a respectful, kind and humble individual who cares about his kingdom and civilians with love.
Against his arch-enemy, Dark Enchantress Cookie, he will always and never give up on trying to convince her to stop her actions and change as a person and tries to understand her actions. He is willing to stop or seal her if it mean to sacrifice his life. And he appears to be a respectful, kind and humble individual who cares about his kingdom and civilians with loves.
But after the war, he is very guilty for not being able to protect his friends and blames himself for the failure of ending the Dark Flour War, showing that he suffers from an inferiority complex.
History[]
In the Prologue, Pure Vanilla Cookie and the other Ancient Heroes were making their to Dark Enchantress Cookie inside the castle. But she manages to weaken them and take their Soul Jams. In a desperate attempt, Pure Vanilla Cookie used his magic to create a magic barrier to protect his friends while he faces Dark Enchantress Cookie alone. He manages to banish her with his magic but he also inadvertently banishes himself and cause the five Soul Jams to shatter.
In Episode 7 and 8, it’s revealed that before becoming king, he attended Blueberry Yogurt Academy with his friend White Lily Cookie. They had a really good relationship, as Vanilla Cookie would skip class to see White Lily Cookie for the reason that was bored without having her. Unlike his current self, he would take a book that is only allowed for teachers to have for their projects on making perfect cookie.
