Q-N-C

Q-N-C, also known as Quincy, is a supporting character in the video game Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

He is an ancient robot created centuries ago by Lyric the Last Ancient. However, Q-N-C eventually developed independence and a sense of right and wrong. Defecting from Lyric, he would shed his evil past and dedicate himself to the greater good. He was later found by Cliff in the present day and befriended him.

He was voiced by Ben Diskin; in the French version by Antoine Nouel and by Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese version.

Appearance[]

Q-N-C is a robot-like robot. He has a head like a rectangular sock with two ears, two black eyes, one of which is larger with yellow-green sclera with a lattice in the middle and a string on his back. He has a straight body, similar to a man, except that instead of legs he has wheels. He also has cotton armor on the right side of his torso, around his pelvis, and on his three-fingered forearms.

Personality[]

Q-N-C is initially a mindless robot, another guinea pig of Lyric that he uses as pawns. Over time, however, Q-N-C begins to develop a personality of his own, friendly and altruistic. He cannot stand Lyric's wickedness, after trying to make him see reason without success, he sides against him and allies himself with Sonic.

Q-N-C however, can get nervous and scared easily, and freaks out about everything. However, he admitted that he was not afraid of seeing his own species destroyed. His meekness should not be confused with low self-esteem, however, as he has occasionally acknowledged that he has high self-esteem.

Now that he is free, he can help anyone who needs him and is therefore available to everyone, even if he exaggerates sometimes, but he has great insecurities that lead him to need others. He is also idealistic and loyal.

Q-N-C is also a little forgetful, and sometimes meddles in affairs that don't concern him.

Abilities[]

Physically, Q-N-C is weak and unsuited for combat. However, he is very skilled with computers, capable of hacking even Lyric's advanced systems in his lair. He also has the ability to levitate and can move through midair at impressive speeds.
