Q is one of the two tritagonists (alongside A) from the series, Alphabet Lore by Mike Salcedo and a supporting protagonist of Number Lore. He is a slug-like letter who follows the other letters on their adventures.
He is voiced by Mike Salcedo.
Biography[]
As a child, q was often far from the letters. One day, after F fled from the other letters after a fight, q swallowed a gem resembling a question mark that f cried. q saw the future, which contained the letters battling F when they all grew up. q attempted to find the other letters as a warning, but due to his slow speed, he wasn't able to reach them in time.
When he and the other letters grew up, Q continued trying to catch up to the others when they were battling F. Eventually, after F's defeat, Q had caught up to them. He proceeded to show them the question mark gem, that showed a flashback to when the letters were younger and when they rejected with f.
After the letters watched the flashback, they felt bad about F's tragic backstory. This is when the planet of the letters, Z, began to reverse time on them. Q informed N that it was his responsibility to stop F from turning evil by standing up to him. Therefore, Q gave N the question mark gem so he could see what would happen if he didn't save F. Q and the other letters were turned back to children, where f just got defeated by the other letters.
Number Lore[]
After n had successfully saved f, a new timeline was created. q, however, saw a calculator-like ship approaching y, m, x, and b. He chased them across z, but it took him until he and the other letters had grown up. The ship soon landed and the number 1 stepped out to find X. Q was scanned by 1's scanner, before 1 took in X. Q, because of his slow speed, only watched Y, M, X, and B fight 1. 1 temporarily retreated before he returned to abduct X and steal his gem to make a clone of himself to create 2. Q watched as Y and B were injured by 2. When 2 was trying to kill M with their teeth bullets, Q attempted to save M by absorbing the bullets. However, he was too slow to save M. As a result, M got injured by 2. Q then watched in horror as 2 escaped with 1, his clone, and a kidnapped X.
Q decided to wander Z and soon when Z's ellipsis gem moons were falling, Q noticed the exclamation mark gem that fell of P when she got launched into orbit by 5. Q stared at it for some time until he was almost attacked by 5's clones, then he gulped up the gem and transformed before gaining the ability to dash at high speeds as opposed to his slow speed.
Because Q never went very fast in his life, it was hard for him to control where he was going. As a result, he ran around uncontrollably on Z.[1]
