~ Queen Angella's final words.

Angella is a supporting character in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. She was the queen of the kingdom of Bright Moon, the wife of King Micah and the mother of Princess Glimmer. She also served as the leader of the rebellion before both that and her role as Bright Moon's queen were taken over by her daughter Glimmer after her sacrifice to stop the portal from destroying Etheria.

She was voiced by Reshma Shetty.

Appearance[]

Angella is a tall and beautiful woman with pale purple-pink skin and flowing dual-toned pink-and-purple hair. She has a large pair of translucent angel-like wings. She wears a pink top with a purple belt-like stripe around her waist along with a pair of light purple pants. Her boots are plum purple and she has a pair of white gloves and a long alice blue striped cape.

Personality[]

Angella has a very strict personality. She took her position as the leader of the rebellion and the queen of Bright Moon very seriously. To the point of refusing to do more than simply defending her citizens and fighting back against those who try to attack them She prefers to keep things neat and organized and is very critical of disciplining bad behavior. One of her first appearances in the series being her grounding her daughter Glimmer for endangering the rebellion's other military commanders during a mission. Angella also doesn't trust others easily, especially those from the Horde due to the organization's constant conflicts with both her and her family as well as the rest of Etheria. As shown with Adora after the latter had defected from the Horde and joined the rebellion.

Angella still loves her family greatly in spite of her often-arrogant nature. As her often overprotective nature towards her daughter Glimmer is partially due to the fact that her reckless and impulsive tendencies are ones she shares with her father, who had gone missing prior to the events of the series. Perhaps the best example of this is in Season 3, where she sacrifices herself to close the Hordak's portal and save Etheria from being destroyed by it.

While generally authoritative and serious, Angella had secretly been hiding her feelings of guilt for holding back when it was time to take action, as she reveals to Adora in Season 3. She then attempts to compensate for this mistake by retrieving the sword in order to set reality back to normal when the portal Catra opened threatened to destroy Etheria.
