Queen Serenity is the former ruler of the Silver Millenium and the mother of Princess Serenity in her pervious life.

In Japanese, she was voiced by Mika Doi in the classic anime and Mami Koyama in Crystal and Eternal, while in English, she was voiced by Barbara Radecki and Wendy Lyon in the DiC dub of the classic anime and Wendee Lee in the Viz dub of the classic anime, Crystal and Eternal.

Biography

Queen Serenity kept the peace of the Moon Kingdom during several centuries using the Silver Cristal and the help of the Sailor Guardians. One time she sealed Queen Nehelenia in a mirror when she tried to attack her kingdom (in the anime) and cursed her newborn daughter. She was witness of the destruction of the Moon Kingdom during the attack on the Dark Kingdom and the deaths of Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion. In a desperate attempt, Queen Serenity used the full power of the Silver Crystal to seal Queen Metalia and reincarnate everyone in Earth at the cost of her life. The moment before her death, Queen Serenity sent her assistants, Luna and Artemis to find the Sailor Guardians in Earth and give them back their powers and memories so they will protect their new home from evil threats.

Her first meeting with the reincarnated Sailor Guardians was when they went to the Moon during the batle with the Dark Kingdom. She shows up as a ghost and gave them back their full memories of their past lives, Sailor Moon is happy to meet again her past-life mother and grateful of helping them.

Queen Serenity appeared by the last time when Sailor Moon went to the Moon after defeating the Dark Kingdom, she gave her a new brooch with the Silver Crystal inside it, giving more power to Sailor Moon.
