Queen Teatinu is a supporting character from the 2020 anime Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure. She is the mother of Latte and the Queen of Healing Garden.
Biography[]
Prior to the start of the series, Teatinu ruled over the Healing Garden and protected the Healing Animals who lived there. But once King Byogen invaded the garden, she fought against him to defend her people and even managed to fight him to a standstill at some point battle, but ultimately she was worn out by the fight.
Teatinu then sent Latte, Rabirin, Pegitan, and Nyatoran to the human world, entrusting Latte to bring hope to the Healing Animals before they all pass through the portal, bidding them a heartfelt farewell.
According to the Wind Element Spirit, Teatinu used to be the partner of the rumoured Legendary Pretty Cure, who once lived Sukoyaka City during the earliest days of the town.
Upon learning that Latte is now in danger, Teatinu became desperate to help him, crawling towards the statue in the Healing Garden in spite of her frail and weak state, and tearfully prays to it in hopes of her child being saved. Her prayer is answered when a spirit based on the appearance of the statue transforms into Cure Earth, who saves Latte's life.
After learning that the Cures have received power-up forms along with the Healin' Good Arrow, Teatinu stated how proud she was of them, but with a noticeable anxious streak as she informed them that she detected a new threat from the Byogens at the same time.
Some time later, Teatinu and the other animals from the Healing Garden began to recover thanks to the actions of the cures and their allies.
In episode 39, she is briefly seen in a flashback as a puppy, battling alongside the ancient Pretty Cure.
When King Byogen initiates his evil scheme, Teatinu arrives to help the Cures stop him. With help from some veteran Healing Animals, she manages to weaken and imprison Neo King Byogen, but it wasn't long before he broke free from the cage. Just as she began to grow weaker, the Cures come to save her, having finally figured out a way to surpass the king's barrier. Unfortunately, he destroys the cage and absorbs Queen Teatinu along with the Cures. However, the Cures' and everyone in the world's desire to live proves to be enough to free them. During that time, she is surprised that they're encouragement has the ability to help her at all.
After Neo King Byogen's defeat, Teatinu invites Nodoka, Chiyu and Hinata to visit the Healing Garden to thank them for everything they've done. She later tells Saruro, who has a strong distrust towards humans, that although he is not entirely wrong about them, the bonds she herself has formed with the cures has softened her view towards them and caused her to believe that they can forge a better future by working together. She forgives the three girls for unintentionally summoning a Nanobyogen, and bids them farewell as they depart.
