Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi is the tritagonist of the 2019 film The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. She is the Queen of the Systar System and the boss of Sweet Mayhem.
She was voiced by Tiffany Haddish, who also voiced Daisy in The Secret Life of Pets 2, Debbie in The Angry Birds Movie 2 and Tuca Toucan in Tuca & Bertie and portrayed Harriet in Haunted Mansion.
History[]
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part[]
Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi is first seen being created as a heart by Emmet after the DUPLO aliens arrive in Bricksburg.
Emmet uses Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi as a token of friendship to the DUPLO aliens until Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi was eaten by one of the DUPLO aliens, causing his LEGO requirements to move upward to the big DUPLO airship that is using a invisible laser line, allowing the DUPLO aliens to ask for more. More of the big DUPLO airships join in to release more of the DUPLO aliens, presumably leading them to create her.
Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi makes her first physical appearance in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part as a pony. Watevra appears like an evil tyrant, but she does her best to persuade the heroes that she is the complete opposite of a villain by singing a song about it.
She manages to persuade the others by appealing to their interests (spaceships for Benny, cute stuff for Unikitty, pirate stuff for Metalbeard, and just appealing to Batman's ego). Wa'Nabi Is allowed to brainwash over Emmet's friends to give back all color of his home and wants Batman to marry her as the most popular way connect the Lego and DUPLO worlds.
Description[]
Watevra Wa'Nabi is a shapeshifting, brick-built alien who is the queen of the Systar System. Her servants are very loyal to her, such as Sweet Mayhem.
Physical Appearance[]
When the main characters arrived at the Systar System she chose to appear as a horse wearing a crown. After she was first built she appeared as a Lego heart. Her most common form is a 'mountain' shape made up of Lego bricks with a large pink square in the center of her body which has a face on it. She is capable of instantaneously changing into other forms by generating Lego bricks from her body. Her true form is a large pink square with eyes, eyebrows and a mouth on it. She has appeared as: a horse, an alien, a heart, a humanoid, a hand, a flower, a cat and various other forms.
Personality[]
She is an overall cheerful, expressive, sassy, humorous, and friendly character who only wants peace between the worlds. Sadly, she's terrible at communicating resulting in her to easily come off as possibly evil. When the Apocalypseburg citizens arrive, she tries to appeal to them by offering gifts that suit their interests. She immediately felt a connection with Batman after General Mayhem informs her that he's lonely.
Though she is a good person, she isn't above deception using reverse psychology, as she does with Batman in order to get him to marry her. She can also be quite forceful, manipulative and demanding, despite having no ill will towards anyone.
Trivia[]
- Her name is a pun on "whatever I wanna be".
- Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi is falsely believed to be the main antagonist of the movie, but this is not the case since it turned out that Rex Dangervest (Emmet from another timeline) was truly the main villain of the movie and that Wa'Nabi wasn't villainous or antagonistic at all, just misunderstood.
- The Lego Movie: The Second Part, The Secret Life of Pets 2, and The Angry Birds 2, all of which Tiffany Haddish starred in, came out in 2019.
