Quintus Prime was part of the first Primes, an ancient group of beings created by Primus to protect the nascent Cybertron. He was Known as "The Great Inventor" who wielded the Emberstone artifact, which could accelerate the growth of life. His legacy was complex, as he created the manipulative Quintessons on the planet Quintessa but his ultimate fate was likely death at their hands.

He was a scientist and inventor, known for his deep belief in the importance and growth of life. After the Age of Primes, Quintus used his Emberstone to go into space and seed new races, leading him to a planet he named Quintessa. There, he created the Quintessons, a species destined to become deceitful and manipulative. It's widely believed that the Quintessons, upon their creation and seeing their creator, turned on and killed him, though his exact demise is not fully detailed in every continuity.

In the Aligned Universe, Quintus was the tenth Prime created by Primus to fight against Unicron. He went into space to seed life, hoping to create new races that would form peaceful alliances with Cybertron. His first stop was a metal-rich planet Quintessa, and there created the Quintessons, a specie of alien that which becomen manipulative. This an act of misguided ambition that led to the backfired of his plan to create allies backfired when the Quintessons turned on him.

Quintus Prime is the central protagonist of the recent Transformers: EarthSpark series on Nickelodeon.
He is voiced by Clancy Brown.

Quintus Prime is not directly mentioned by name in the movie, but is shown as one of the Thirteen Primes who was killed by the Quintessons in a trap set by Sentinel. His body is later found along with the other Primes, and a vision of him appears when Alpha Trion declares the damaged Orion Pax to be the next wielder of the Matrix of Leadership.
