~ Rabbid Rosalina |
Rabbid Rosalina is one of the Rabbid protagonists that appears in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
She is voiced by Laurie Winkel.
Personality[]
Rabbid Rosalina is a drowsy and apathetic character who is apparently highly educated and spends her time reading various books. However, despite her outward appearance, she is always ready to fight for those she cares about. Rabbid Rosalina is also searching for a family of her own and idolizes her namesake, Rosalina, whom she desires to meet one day.
Appearance[]
Rabbid Rosalina has platinum blonde hair that hangs over her face, a cyan dress, star-shaped accessories, and a silver jewel-encrusted crown she wears on her head.
Aside from these distinctions, Rabbid Rosalina has many of the usual Rabbid features in terms of appearance. She has white fur covering most of her body, stubby legs and hands with no visible fingers, a rounded head with long ears, a pair of bulging blue eyes, and a mouth containing two teeth that can open very wide.
Powers and Abilities[]
In combat, Rabbid Rosalina can quickly break down enemy cover with her Kaboomer, a gatling Spark-like weapon that can shoot multiple shots at foes as well as destroy breakable cover within a short range. Individual damage is normally weak, but combined damage is much stronger. She has above average movement and she can Dash only once and has an upgrade to which and can use Ennui Dash to immobilize her enemies for a single turn. Her Technique is Ennui, which can render any surrounding enemies immobile for a single turn (if upgraded, it lasts longer) as long as they are not attacked in anyway.
Biography[]
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[]
Background[]
During the basement incident in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Rabbid Rosalina was created by the SupaMerge in the hands of Spawny. After that, she disappeared throughout the first game. Sometime before Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope begins, she was presumably taken by Cursa. Captain Orion saved her, which led her to become her father figure. For an unknown amount of time Rabbid Rosalina traveled with Captain Orion in hopes of finding Mario's space friend, Rosalina. However, she was captured by the Spark Hunter Midnite and taken prisoner where she was imprisoned in the Winter Palace.
Pristine Peaks[]
Rabbid Rosalina is first encountered by Mario and company inside the Winter Palace at Pristine Peaks. She was held captive within the Darkmess Dimension where her friend Captain Orion and the heroes went to rescue her, but the Spark Hunter Midnite trapped Orion inside a cage before he could reach her, causing Rabbid Rosalina to fight against the villainess to save him. She worked together with the heroes as they fought through multiple phases of the battle until Midnite was eventually defeated, freeing Orion and herself from the Darkmess Dimension. Rabbid Rosalina apologizes to the captain for wandering off on her own and expresses her desire to find Rosalina. Beep-0 informs her that his team were also looking for Rosalina and offers her to join them in their search, to which she accepts.
Palette Prime[]
Rabbid Rosalina was bored during the meeting as they study the culture of Palette Prime, which is their next destination, but upon arrival they saw that the forest has lost so much color and life due to the Darkmess Tentacles there, which the warden Woodrow laments about in a poetic fashion. After the forest is free of the Darkmess Tentacle, the autumnal color is restored, and flora and fauna began to thrive peacefully again. They head to Woodrow's house where they find a shortcut through the tunnels leading to Paletteville. Upon arrival, it was in turmoil and one of the pink houses ends up destroyed, revealing that Bowser and Bedrock are in a major brawl between each other and lock arms. When Bedrock is distracted, Bowser takes advantage of this opportunity to headbutt her, but is quickly thrown into the Darkmess Tentacle with her in pursuit. When asked by Edge about Bowser, Beep-0 states that Bowser isn't on good terms with them either due to his long history of kidnapping Princess Peach and antagonizing Mario and the kingdom. They assist Bowser in defeating Bedrock, but the latter escapes with Daphne's help. Bowser tells them that he is also looking for Cursa because it brainwashed his numerous minions, and he wants them back and he too joins the team for a while.
Terra Flora[]
During their journey to Terra Flora where Beep-0 was speaking about the beauty of the planet and its flora, they learn that they are now in range of Cursa's stronghold, but the problem is that it is well protected by a barrier to deter intruders. Knowing of Edge's connections with the previous Spark Hunters and she might know something, he asks her if she knows a way to deal with it, with Edge asking why he is turning to her for answers, but when he responds that she is knowledgeable of Midnite and Bedrock and suspiciously asks if there is something she isn't telling them, Edge angrily responds that even if there was it's her business and does not want it to become theirs. Beep-0 then backs off after getting some stares from the Mario characters and glares from the Rabbids and changes the subject to landing in Terra Flora. They find that Terra Flora is suffering from a drought from warden Bea and the train engineer named Sullivan, who takes them on a train ride to the water volcano, Mt. Spout which went dormant because of the Darkmess Tentacle. During the trip, Edge is the first person to catch sight of an angry Wiggler chasing them with the rest of them, except Bowser who is itching for a fight and Rabbid Rosalina who is too bored to react, to freeze up and Rabbid Mario jumps into Edge's arms in fear which ends up surprising her as Sullivan speeds up to avoid it and enters the Darkmess Tentacle. However, they were caught by surprise when Wiggler ends up catching up and attacks the train, prompting them to fight back until Wiggler is defeated and finish the trip without further hassle. They make it to Mt. Spout and were successful in destroying the Darkmess Tentacle which caused Mt. Spout to erupt and restore the withering plants. Most of the heroes, excluding Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Rosalina, were inside bubbles with Edge and Bowser sharing one with Edge glaring at the latter with her arm crossed before they fall. Bea then informs them that the Warden named Momma is a mechanic who would be able to help them create the shield breaker.
Barrendale Mesa[]
As they get closer to Cursa's stronghold, there was a much stronger need for the shield breakers if they had any hope of facing the monster and Barrendale Mesa has a mechanic named Momma who can help them. Due to the electric storm that is occurring, JEANIE is unable to land the ship and they would have to freefall to land. The team jumps off and Rabbid Rosalina and the other Rabbids land on a giant balloon, but the stronger and spikier Bowser ended up destroying it. Everyone is able to land safely, though Momma is not pleased with them with destroying her balloon and her workshop is closed due to the storm causing the windmill to malfunction and tasks them to reach there and take out the source of the problem. Once they were successful in protecting the windmill and taking out the Darkmess Tentacle, the storm passes, and the planet becomes much more peaceful. "Momma" sends them a transmission that appeared promising to the team, but not so much for Edge as there was something about Momma that seemed wrong, but due to her having received enough suspicion earlier, she does not make any comment on it. As they return to the garage, "Momma" is revealed to be Daphne who then imprisons the heroes in the Darkmess Dimension and the real Momma is found to be in captivity. Upon defeating Daphne on Barrendale Mesa, Cursa appears before Rabbid Rosalina and her teammates in an attempt to eliminate them when it is suddenly stopped by Rosalina, who temporarily separates from the villain to help the heroes escape. Rabbid Rosalina is carried to safety by Mario when she refused to leave her idol behind, and once they arrived back at Momma's garage, she became distort over what they had just witnessed. Rabbid Rosalina regained some composure when Jeanie told the heroes more about Rosalina's predicament by peering into a Purified Darkness Crystal before they set off to confront Cursa at her stronghold.
The Last Spark Hunter[]
During their journey to Cursa's stronghold, the heroes were end up heading to Melodic Gardens after the planet mysteriously went silent. Rabbid Rosalina was saddened that they now have to wait to reach Cursa's Stronghold to help Rosalina. Once they meet the warden Allegra, she tells them that Kanya, the former leader of the Spark Hunters is attacking the planet, much to Edge's confusion, as she thought that they have dealt with them all. When they finally meet with Kanya, who enjoys meeting them, it was revealed that she did something with Allegra's friend, forcing the latter to search for it. After helping to free Dorrie from imprisonment, Rabbid Rosalina contribute to defeating Kanya and restore the harmonious nature of the planet and installed the Shield Busters on their ship.
Cursa's Stronghold[]
During the final battle on the Comet Observatory, after freeing Rosalina and the Sparks from Cursa's grasp, Rabbid Rosalina attempted to shield her friends when Cursa swooped down to attack them. However, the Sparks managed to stun their tormentor long enough for the heroes to combine their own attacks and eliminate Cursa for good.
The Tower of Doooom[]
When it was revealed that Spawny, one of the heroes' old friends was imprisoned in a place that belongs to Madame Bwahstrella, called The Tower of Doooom, Rabbid Rosalina and her friends head through ten floors and after defeating the giant enemy on the tenth floor Spawny is freed and has gained the confidence to go on his own, knowing that his friends will have his back in his time of need.
Rayman in the Phantom Show[]
While Rabbid Rosalina does not play a role in this DLC, she does make a small cameo appearance, with the other heroes (excluding Bowser), where she sees Rayman's gift that Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach brought home after their adventures with him, which was a copy of his hoodie.
Epilogue[]
Rosalina thanked them all for saving her and offered Rabbid Rosalina a chance to live among the Sparks as a family. But the Rabbid choose to remain with her friends whom she already considered to be her family. She watches as the other Rabbids, minus herself and Edge, play around with Bowser, who then retaliates with a fire ball.
Trivia[]
- In order to make the introduction of Rabbid Rosalina a surprise, Captain Orion would refer to her as "The girl".
- Beep-0 mentions that Rabbid Rosalina was there when the Rabbids were in the Genius Girl's basement where she became who is now (presumably merged with a Rosalina wig or dress), but in the introduction of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, she was nowhere to be found there or at any point in the game.
