Raiden Mei is one of the two deuteragonists (and temporarily a major antagonist) of the Honkaiverse series. She was a member of the Valkyria unit alongside Kiana Kaslana and Bronya Zaychik before joining the World Serpent.
She was a student for the St. Freya High School alongside Kiana and Bronya, under the care of Himeko Murata. She is also the current Third Herrscher, the "Herrscher of Thunder".
She was voiced by TetraCalyx in Houkai Gakuen 2, replaced by Chiwa Saitō and Miyuki Sawashiro in Honkai Impact 3rd in the Japanese version. She is also voiced by Juhuahua in the Chinese versions.
Appearance[]
Raiden Mei has a dark purple hair and dark blue eyes, She has a blue sailor fuku and in battle she sports a pink and black battlesuit, When Sakura and she fused, she gained a miko-like outfit with a tiara resembling sakura rabbit-like ears.
Personality[]
Raiden is a rather cheerful, cute yet shy girl due to her father company being aligned with Anti-Entropy, which after losing her family make her rather more solitary, After founding some friends with Kiana and Himeko more of her past cheerful personality returned.
She is also quite empathetic with others like Sakura whom forms a bond a allow her to return to world and with Kallen, but she also love the rainy days, as to her put her all her misery flow like a river.
As the 3rd Herrscher, Mei is rather arrogant and insolent, having a superiority complex over the mortal humans like most other Herrschers, even viewing her own mortal form as a weakness. Despite this, it gives her a feeling of loneliness and became more interested with Kiana but slowly accepts herself as Raiden Mei.
History[]
Born on April 13, 1997, at an early age, her mother died of cancer in 1999.
Mei's father was originally the president of Massive Electric Corp (ME Corp), but it was deeply affected by the financial crisis. Her father was framed for the trouble caused (by Cocolia) and put in prison. This caused Mei to become lonely.

- Raiden Mei serves as the inspiration for the Genshin Impact character, Raiden Shogun and the Honkai: Star Rail character, Acheron. Both of them taking numerous elements from her, notably her appearance and abilities.
