Ranmaru Mori (Japanese: 森 蘭丸) is a character in the Samurai Warriors video game series. He is Yoshinari Mori's third son and Nobunaga Oda's famous right-hand.
He is voiced by Naomi Shindō in the Japanese version, and by Tony Oliver, Wendi Jewers and Tara Platt in the English version.
Biography[]
Ranmaru is a young man who believes in his lord Nobunaga, he received the kind of learning object as a student of Mitsuhide due to his kind and integrity, such both of them started serving at the Saitō clan. Losing confidence in the leadership, the two really want to make a decisions and prove their worthy to fight against Oda in Inabayama Castle. Their strong defense made Oda instantly retreat and impressed Nobunaga. They are realized their wishes and quickly led to the demise of the Saitō family. After his mentor arrived at Ise-Nagashima, Ranmaru participated in the massacre of the peasant army.
Compassionate his mentor retreat from the field and he is absent-minded against Mitsuhide's betrayal in Honnōji. Ranmaru bravely defended the southern gate of the temple to defend the escape of Nobunaga with Noh and Oichi. Ranmaru should one keep himself to take the desperate power of Mitsuhide, he is nothing that can be done compared to them, thus he meet Gracia in the second battle, actually they were had this loving relationship. She hopes that Ranmaru will learn how to cherish himself and his life. However, she promised to be there whenever he needed it, that Ranmaru was able to accepted his own responsibility and vowed to protect Gracia and Mitsuhide.
At some case, Ranmaru once again to served Nobunaga for his own submission, otherwise he could have relied on a revelation to imply that he was present under the instruct of his father. When the decisive battle occurred in Noda-Fukushima, Ranmaru could recognize the existence of Nagamasa and also showed that his father to die in an attempt to stop the sensation of Azai's army at Usayama Castle. In addition, Ranmaru had lost his father and was regretted by anyone, but immediately wanted to avenge his father in Odani Castle.
