Korath the Pursuer, also known as Ravager Korath, is a featured character in the Disney+ animated series, Marvel's What If...?, appearing as a major supporting character in the second episode - What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?

He is an ex-member of the Kree Starforce as well of the former head of Ronan the Accuser's army before he joined the Ravagers after meeting the famous Star-Lord.

Like his counterpart from Earth-199999, he is voiced by Djimon Hounsou, who also voiced Sumo in Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank and also portrayed the Wizard in the 2019 superhero film Shazam! and its 2023 sequel, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, of the DC Extended Universe.

Biography[]

What If...?[]

During his time working for Ronan the Accuser, Korath was sent to Morag to retrieve the orb that contained the Power Stone, alongside some Sakaaran mercenaries. When he arrived at the chamber where the orb was, Korath found someone was already to retrieve the orb. Although Korath was prepared to shoot, when the man revealed himself to the famous intergalactic outlaw Star-Lord, Korath was excited because he was already a big Star-Lord and his work. Korath then told the Sakaarans to stand down and show respect to Star-Lord, he asks if he may work even the outlaw turned him down.

While he still fought against T'Challa, Korath was given tips by the latter to punch him better, and tricked Korath into knocking himself by punching the force-field that was protecting the orb, which still impressed Korath. After T'Challa defeats the two Sakaarans that were with Korath, T'Challa changes his mind and takes mercery on Korath, by deciding to bring the unconscious Kree with him and allowing Korath to join the Ravagers, thinking he's "hired worse", while Yondu kills the remaining Sakaarans that confronted T'Challa outside the chamber, before leaving Morag.

After arriving at a bar on Contraxia, Korath gets to know T'Challa's comrades, reminiscences about T'Challa's past exploits, and meets the reformed Mad Titan, Thanos.
