Ray the Flying Squirrel is a supporting character in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is Mighty the Armadillo's sidekick.
He appears as one of the three playable characters (alongside Sonic the Hedgehog and Mighty the Armadillo) of SEGASonic the Hedgehog, a cameo character in Sonic Generations, and a playable character in the DLC expansion Sonic Mania Plus.

Ray is a yellow squirrel that has blue shoes (originally red), white gloves, a hat and two gliders, also with goggles when moving through air.
Personality[]
Ray is slightly younger than his best friend Mighty and is far less stronger than him, but he makes up for the lack of strength with pure enthusiasm and excitement. He has a affinity for adventure, often gliding to high places to get a view of the land below.

There is almost no superpowers about this little guy, however, he is energetic and can absorb massive damages when rolling in a ball, like Sonic the Hedgehog, or Mighty the Armadillo. He also has the ability to

He was imprisoned on Eggman Island along with Sonic and Mighty in SegaSonic the Hedgehog. He had to form a threesome with Sonic and Mighty to escape from the island.
