~ The Reaper's introductory quote.

The Reaper is the anti-hero protagonist of the 2016 video game Deadbolt. Contracted by a mysterious entity known simply as "The Flames", the Reaper would later partake on a violent crusade to eliminate the undead around the city.

However, his mission of curbing the undead threat later takes into a dramatic turn, when his mission contracts from the Flames turn out to have a much bigger connection, one of which connects to a mysterious entity known as Ibzan, a member of an enigmatic group known as the Dredged.

Tasked mainly on eliminating Ibzan by the Flames, the Reaper sets on a one-man violent campaign to rid all of Ibzan's main subordinates and his minions across the city in various places, as well as dismantling his criminal empire and eliminating their threat accordingly, while adding his own kills into the kill board.

Appearance[]

The Reaper is a humanoid entity, whose body takes form of a skeleton. The head has no eyebrows, with the mandible missing, as well as a big crack from its nasal cavity. For clothing, he wears an orange trench coat with a black shirt on the inside, as well as black trousers and black shoes.

When travelling through vents, the Reaper materialises into a black smoke, allowing him to seamlessly stream from one pipe to the other.

Personality[]

The Reaper is always seen mute, as well as having a murderous fascination of culling the undead threat permeating around the city. Beyond that, however, not much is known of his personality.

Background[]

Chapter I: Zombie Kingz[]

During the events of the namesake chapter, the Reaper would later partake in a mission to eliminate the Zombie Kingz, an organization mainly comprising of Zombies, who were seen distributing a mysterious drug known simply as "Ash", which according to them it makes someone "feel alive" again. He would later assassinate the Kingz's accountant Puff, as well as their leader Roland, and burn their Ash caches, causing their operation to crumble apart.

Chapter II: 1000 Year Royals[]

After dismantling the Zombie Kingz, the Reaper was later given a mission by the Flames, but this time targeting a powerful organization known as 1000 Year Royals, a vampire gang. They also later revealed to be one of the biggest Ash producers, where the Reaper would proceed to destroy all of them, one by one, until he later discovers something: the existence of Ash totems, and how they were used them in several vampire clubs to initiate a conversion time and turn all of them into Ashes.

Proceeding to dismantle their overall operations, the Reaper would eliminate the vampire twins Amber & Evelynn and the gang member Madam Stela, causing their operation to go bust, as well as the organisation crumbling apart.

Chapter III: The Dredged[]

With the 1000 Year Royals presumably dismantled, the Reaper would then seek out its final target: the Dredged, a gang of skeletons led by the leader known as Ibzan, who is now leading not just a skeleton army, but also demons hailing originally from Styx. While unknown to the Reaper that most of his previous targets were being used by Ibzan as means to his end, he later proceeds to murder the rest of Ibzan's army, as well as killing the sociopathic scientist and engineer Timur, as well as the demon sniper Vall, before reaching the Corpse of Souls and tracking Ibzan down to the so-called "Land of Warmth".

After talking to the Flames' true form, the Reaper would then initiate a final battle against Ibzan, along with his minions, of whom which he succeeded after killing the rest of them. Finding a grievously injured Ibzan, who was begging for his life to end, the Reaper would ruefully pull the trigger and shoot the leader, killing him for good, thus ending his reign of terror.
