The Rebel Army is a faction featured in the Strider Manga. It also seemed to have functioned as inspiration for the Resistance in the 2014 Strider game.
History[]
The Rebel Army was formed when the problems with the Kazakh Federation’s government was becoming such a threat to the economy, it could crash and trigger a reckless war.
At one point, they’ve hired the Striders when the dictator’s secret police could not be beaten properly by normal hands.
In the middle of the meeting, the door was blasted down by the secret police leading to the death of at least one member, prompting the remaining members to flee.
In battle, another member manages to gun down one member moments before he was killed by a T-48, however Cain, one of the Striders hired, manages to blow it away by throwing a grenade.
After Cain was captured, 18 members were reported to have been killed while another rebel has been captured.
Later on, after saving Cain and capturing the chief of the Secret Police, Hiryu and Cain later reside in a lodge used as a safehouse by the Rebel Army.
