The Rebellion are minor heroic characters in the Sonic Boom TV series. They are a group of rebels from an alternate dimension where Sonic never existed, fighting against Lord Eggman's oppression.
Just like their original counterparts, Alternate Dimension Sticks was voiced by Nika Futterman, Alternate Dimension Amy was voiced by Cindy Robinson, Alternate Dimension Knuckles was voiced by Travis Willingham, and Alternate Dimension Tails was voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessy.
History[]
In Lord Eggman's dimension, Sonic the Hedgehog never existed, allowing him to conquer Seaside Island with little-to-no opposition. Not all citizens bowed to his will, though, with some escaping into the jungle and forming a resistance group, led by Sticks the Badger. Though the dimension's resident Amy Rose also joined the Rebellion at some point, Knuckles and Tails weren't part of it, as the former was content with being a TV personality, while the latter willingly served Eggman. It appears that the Rebellion's initial success was minimal for the most part.
When Sonic arrived into the Rebellion's dimension and got arrested for insulting Lord Eggman, Amy broke him out and led him to the Rebellion's hideout, where Sonic got acquainted with Sticks and was accepted into the group. Soon after, Sonic recruited Knuckles by winning a bet against him. He was going to search for Tails as well, but Sticks insisted that there was no time for that. Together, the team stormed Lord Eggman's headquarters. After being alerted by Tails, Eggman sent his robots to fight the rebels, and fired a missile at them despite being aware Tails would get killed as well. Sonic saved the fox, making him defect from Eggman and join the rebels in landing a finishing blow on his Egg Mobile, dealing the dictator his first ever defeat. Sonic had to leave for his home dimension soon after, but he was sure that with the team that he had assembled, Lord Eggman's regime would eventually fall.
Overview[]
The Rebellion is a relatively small, ragtag group. Its members are constantly on the run from the authorities, and their base of operations is hidden deep in the jungle. So far, only five members of the Rebellion were seen in combat, with one not even being a native of their dimension, leaving it unknown how many battle-capable members the organization has.
