Red Alert is an Autobot doctor of the Autobot Resistance during the war on Cybertron.
He was voiced by Todd Haberkorn, who also voiced Shockwave in the series.
History[]
Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege[]
Elita-One takes Bumblebee and Wheeljack to get checked out by Red Alert, who is tending to Sideswipe. While they didn’t recover much, Wheeljack gives Red Alert the Thoraxal Nodes he found. Red Alert checks out Bumblebee and offers to patch him up. He can’t believe that they’re all that’s left of the Autobots, and Red Alert explains that he was a doctor before the war, but then they gave him a blaster and now he’s a soldier. Chromia adds that they’re all soldiers now.
Red Alert was later present when Optimus Prime announced that Ultra Magnus' surrender to Megatron. Red Alert suggested that Magnus' brain module could be hacked, allowing the Decepticons to discover the Ark's location, but Elita stated that Magnus would never allow it; he would deactivate himself before doing so.
After the Autobots suffer casualties after being led into a trap by the Decepticons, Sideswipe takes Cog to Red Alert, who orders that Cog is taken to the repair bay.
Red Alert is tending to the wounded Autobots when he is helped by Ratchet and Impactor in the infirmary. Red Alert lamented the many sparks lost in the war, though Ratchet assured him to keep at his work.
When the Ark was exposed to the virus and came under attack, Red Alert helped defend it, attending to Bumblebee, who was rendered unconscious by the virus's spread. Despite the loss to the Alpha Trion Protocols, Red Alert told the scout he must fight and handed him a blaster.
Wheeljack gets the Ark operating and they head to the Spacebridge. Red Alert is shot down by a Decepticon near the Spacebridge while protecting the ship, and the Ark leaves without him, though reunited with Elita, Chromia, and Jetfire, forming a small Autobot resistance on Cybertron.
Transformers: War for Cybertron - Earthrise[]
Red Alert, Jetfire, Elita-One, and Chromia kill two seekers and save a group of imprisoned Decepticons. Red Alert later informs Elita from their scout Steeljaw, indicating a massive incarceration camp at Kaon. Despite Jetfire's protested as to the risks, Elita agreed to a plan to free them, telling Red Alert to be ready for survivors.
Red Alert, Elita, and Chromia stake out the prison camp in Kaon. They fear they’re walking into a trap as the fortress is lightly guarded, but they proceed nonetheless. Chromia shoots down the guards on the tower while Red Alert and Elita race inside, taking out the guards at the front. They arrive at the prison camp and take out numerous Decepticons, while Jetfire took out Seekers overhead, which greatly encourages Red Alert to know one of their team flies. The Autobots pressed on deeper into the prison and noticed that most of the cells were empty as they track an Autobot signal. But after a brief skirmish, they realized they've been had: Starscream sprang his trap and the Autobots were surrounded. Red Alert and the others were hauled into the arena and bought before Megatron, who showed them his plan to harvest the sparks of the Cybertronians to power Project: Nemesis. Red Alert was then taken away with the rest of the team by Starscream and the Seekers, to await the next spark harvest.
Red Alert was locked in a cell at Kaon along with Chromia and Jetfire, while the team debated on why Megatron was harvesting sparks. Red Alert doubted it was a weapon, stating the Decepticons had already won the war, but Elita asserted that it was not over. Red Alert tinkered to manipulate the barrier in an attempt to free them, but was unsuccessful. He lamented that there was no one to send a distress signal to, that HQ was deserted and Omega Supreme's location was unknown since the fall of Crystal City. Red Alert was then taken to the arena with the rest of the team, and watched as Megatron offered Elita-One a place at his side only for her to refuse. Barricade then initiated the harvesting process, trapping Red Alert in the harvest chamber, though the process was halted by the arrival of Scrapface, who set the team free. With their binders deactivated, Red Alert and the rest of the team ran as the arena went into lockdown. They were then aided by Skytread, who allowed them to escape.
Elita-One, Jetfire, Red Alert, and Chromia lead the old beaten and battered Decepticons to the old theater. But when Scrapface caused a commotion, a brief conflict began, leading the team to quickly kill the pursuing Seekers, keeping their position secure. They made it to the refuge, the old theatre, and Red Alert attended to the injured Decepticons, and bore witness to Shockwave's broadcast, ordering all Decepticons to report to Kaon arena. Realizing the threat posed, the team agreed to bring down Shockwave, once and for all.
Red Alert joined his allies in the mission to the arena and waited outside with the rest of the team while Elita went in to set the explosives. However, they were suddenly ambushed by Shockwave's forces, having used cloaking technology to sneak up on them. Red Alert was captured with the others and escorted towards the arena to face Shockwave, despite the Autobots warning of the planted explosives ahead. When the still active Chromia attacked their captors, Red Alert and the others ran towards the arena, hoping to reach Elita. They never did, as the explosives suddenly went off, destroying the entire area and killing them all.
Transformers: War for Cybertron - Kingdom[]
Even though it is clear that both Jetfire, and Elita had died before the Autobots and Decepticons returned to Cybertron, Red Alert and Chromia's fates are unclear since among the projections of dead characters created by their sparks, Red Alert or a character sharing a body type as him is not seen while for Chromia, a bot resembling her can be seen but could be Moonracer since they share a body type.
Trivia[]
- This version of Red Alert is a cross between his G1 and Unicron Trilogy selves, resembling his original counterpart while sharing his Unicron Trilogy's position as a medic.
