Reimi Sugimoto is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Joseph Joestar) of the 1992 manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable and its 2016 anime adaptation of the same name.
She is a ghost girl who haunts a hidden street of Morioh, along with her dog Arnold, and a major ally for the Morioh heroes.
Reimi was originally a high school student in 1983, but on the night of August 13th 1983 she and her family became one of the first victims of the serial killer Yoshikage Kira and she was killed trying to protect a young Rohan Kishibe from Kira. After Reimi and Arnold's death, they would end up haunting a hidden street in Morioh waiting for fifteen years waiting for someone to bring Kira to justice.
She is voiced by Sayuri Hara in the Japanese dub, and by Kira Buckland in the English dub. She is also voiced by Ryu Hirohashi in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
Biography[]
In the summer of 1999 Koichi Hirose and Rohan Kishibe where on a search for Yoshikage Kira when they came across the ghost girl alley, Reimi tells them her tail about she meet end at the hands of Yoshikage Kira which ends up reveling that she is a ghost and has been waiting for someone to bring Kira to his end. At one point in the story she ends up witnessing Kira kill Shigekiyo Yangu and was deeply horrified and saddened by his death.
At the end of the story when Kira was killed he arrives mysteriously at the ghost girl alley thinking he used Killer Queen: Bites the Dust to escape the main characters but Reimi reveals to him that he was killed when he was knocked down and run over by a an ambulance and killed, he then tries to trick Reimi into looking behind her in the alley but it ends up back firing when Arnold attacked him and Kira was dragged off to the after life.
At the story she finally bids the Morioh heart of gold and ascends to heaven with Arnold knowing that the Morioh serial killer Yoshikage Kira while no longer prey on the town again.
Personality[]
Reimi Sugimoto is a kind, genial, and caring person who desire to bring Yoshikage Kira to justice but is also playful and a bit shy imply that she is afraid of love and would have a very innocent response to being hit on and she is also proven to extremely brave saving a young Rohan Kishibe for Yoshikage Kira but at the cost of her life. Even though she is a kind individual she is extremely scornful of Yoshikage Kira for both her murder and the murder of others and is willing to stay in the alley until he is dead.
