Renet Tiley is a supporting character in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Personality[]
She is a rather reluctant, spoiled, and impulsive teenager whose parents, also denizens of the 79th Level, hoped that her apprenticeship to Lord Simultaneous would help her develop some sort of common sense. Curious and impatient as she was, she didn't care much about studying.
History[]
Renet first met the Turtles while joking, when one day, out of boredom, she grabbed her master's Time Scepter and was caught red-handed. She responded immediately and time traveled with Lord Simultaneous's Scepter of the Sands of Time to Earth, more specifically to 1986 New York City. Renet and the turtles became friends, but Simultaneous appeared and sent Renet into a panic. Simultaneously fleeing further, she and the turtles went into 1406 AD, directly into the siege of the castle.
The castle belonged to the dark wizard Savanti Romero, a former student of Simultaneous but in exile, and the besiegers were soldiers of Cerebus, who was looking for some scrolls that Romero had stolen. Romero also managed to grab the Scepter of Time, and the Turtles and Renet had to fight with the help of Cerebus to attack the castle and take the Scepter back from Savanti Romero. Strength was no match for Romero's magic. Before the worst came, Simultaneous appeared. Romero attacked Lord Simultaneous who took the Scepter of Time again and threw Savanti into prehistory. He delivered the scrolls to Cerebus, sent the Turtles back in time, and sent Renet to clean the dust in his enormous library.
Later, she helps the Turtles defeat Savanti Romero in prehistory, when Romero plans to alter Earth's orbit and prevent the impact of the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs, meaning humanity and the Mutant Turtles will never exist . After defeating Romero, the group is stranded in prehistory for several months after the Scepter is lost in the ocean, but is eventually recovered. Renet in another appearance saves the turtles from Romero's demonic bride, Juliet Romero. This time she appears as a deity-like woman with full control over her time manipulation powers.
