Richter Belmont (Castlevania)

Richter Belmont is one of the main protagonists of the Castlevania franchise. He is a member of the Belmont Clan, a chosen clan to defeat Dracula.

He was voiced by the late Kiyoyuki Yanada in the Japanese version and by David Vincent in the English version, the former who voiced Richter since Symphony of the Night and the latter who voiced him since Dracula X Chronicles and also voices fellow Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter Male Robin.

Biography[]

When Dracula and The Dark Priest Shaft invaded Annette and Maria's hometown Richter Belmont decided to hurry to that town, but during his way the town he gets attacked by Death. However, he survives Death and Confronts him, when he enters the town, the town is on fire. Later Richter saves Maria Renard from Shaft dark magical levitation seal. He continues with his journey to save Annette and other girls. Again, he meets death and defeats him again on a haunted ship. He later Saves Annette, confronts Shaft and Dracula. 4 years later Richter vanished, and Maria and later even Alucard starts to search after him. However, when Alucard finds Richter, something is wrong with Richter. Richter is Possessed by Shaft, who is now a ghost. Later gets Richter saved and freed from his Possession by Alucard.

Bad Ending[]

If Alucard fights Richter without the Holy Glasses, the brainwashed vampire hunter will perish.

Richter was announced as an Echo fighter of Simon Belmont, although both take inspiration of each other. Richter is classified as fighter #66^ε. He, like Simon, has poor mobility overall, but this is compensated by the fact that he is a zoner, having incredibly powerful ranged attacks. His whip, the Vampire Killer, is a strong and ranged weapon, alongside his axe, cross and holy water, make for a dangerous distanced foe. He was revelated during on Simon Belmont's trailer where he protected Simon from a fireball by Dracula. Richter's fighter spirit can be obtained by clearing the Classic Mode with him.

In World of Light, Richter is one of the many fighters that are vaporized by Galeem's beams, he can be found in Dracula's Castle after all the purple ghosts are destroyed. He can also be unlocked by clearing Classic Mode with Link or any character in his unlock tree, as the 7th character unlocked after Young Link and before Toon Link, or playing Vs. matches, as the 35th character unlocked after Pichu and before Lucas.

Powers and skills[]

The Vampire Killer: This weapon was once known as The Whip of Alchemy which was created by Rinaldo Gandolfi. The whip is stated to be stronger than a dead man's discarded sword. The Vampire Killer is a holy weapon of forbidden mysteries that is designed to destroy all who are related to the kindred of the night.
Hydro Storm: A storm of Holy Water that can destroy many enemies in a moment or do large Boss Damage.
Sub weapons: Crosses, Holy Water, axes.
