Rihito Amagi is a brother of Mikaru, conductor and part of the Panthalassa Clan like Kaito in Mermaid Melody. His and Mikaru's parents was part of the Panthalassa Clan too. When Kaito was leave Mikaru after memory back and he remembered Lucia about Mikaru came about sand. And when Mikeru took Mikaru the second half Lucia and the other Mermaid Princesses intending to save him. Kaito and Rihito went to rescue her. Mikeru left with the Ancients and Mikaru was gone with Mikeru, but Aqua Regina returned Mikaru to Rihito. But this time Mikaru was born again.
He was voiced by Takahiro Mizushima.
History[]
Rihito is an orchestra conductor and Mikaru's older brother. After initially seeing Kaito and Lucia at the airport, he becomes a 'bridge' for the two.
He observes Kaito's progress in regaining his memories (despite his sister being around) while he checks on Lucia and comforts her as she copes with the loss of her emotional bond. Rihito tries hard to get Mikaru to realize that she can never be with Kaito, even though she doesn't want to hear it. He is the one who convinces Kaito to tell Mikaru she is not the one for him when he regains his memories.
In the anime, when Kaito leaves after telling Mikaru that he loves Lucia, Rihito restrains Mikaru from going after Kaito.
It is later revealed that both he and Mikaru are part of the same race as Kaito, leaving Rihito to believe that that is the true reason why Mikaru is attracted to Kaito.
When Mikaru is reborn, he promises that he will care for her and raise her again.
In the manga, it is revealed that Rihito and Mikaru's mother was of Panthalassan heritage, and their father was a scientist obsessed with the Panthalassan and Ancient races. This makes Rihito and Mikaru half-Panthalassans. Rihito's power projected itself, as revealed by his father, in his music, while Mikaru had to suffer from her own blood that was rejecting herself.
Rihito has the power to wield the Staff of Panthalassa through his Panthalassan heritage. When Rihito conducts an orchestra, he might show the cross of Panthalassa on his forehead.
He appears only in the second season, Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure.
