Riki, also known as KingRanger, is an ancient warrior from prehistoric Earth who fought the original Machine Beasts, the Sixth Ranger of the Ohrangers and one of the main characters of Choriki Sentai Ohranger.
He is played by Shoji Yamaguchi and voiced whilst morphed by Takumi Hashimoto in his first appearance. Hashimoto also previously played Dime Tribe Knight Boi in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and Manabu Yamaji in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya.
Biography[]
Past[]
Riki was originally a human from the first continent of Earth; Pangea roughly 600 million years ago and he was the first user of Superpower; the ancient power of Pangea. However, the Machine Beasts (robots created to serve the ancient humans as servants) rebelled against their creators and killed all but one of the Dorin but were entirely wiped out by Riki as KingRanger. However, a sole survivor named Bacchus Wrath managed to escape into space so the humans feared his return. To prepare for this, he placed Riki and the sole remaining Dorin into stasis in his mecha King Pyramidder which they sent into space. For millions of years, Riki and the Dorin would remain asleep; never ageing as they drifted through space.
Ohranger[]
In 1999, King Pyramidder returns to Earth after the death of Bara Hungry with his return which enrages Bacchus Wrath who has since founded the Machine Empire Baranoia and is attempting to conquer Earth. Deciding not to take any chances, he summons Keris the Machine Beast Tamer and has her hunt down and kill Riki and Dorin which forces Riki to fight and defeat Bara Goblin, revealing his talent to the Earth's newest defenders; the Ohrangers. Keris then kidnaps him and tries to make it look like she turned Riki into a Machine Beast with Bara King but Dorin saves him and he finally agrees to work with the Ohrangers.
After the death of Kaiser Buldont and Empress Multiwa as well as the dissolution of the Baranoia Empire, Riki is delighted to see that Dorin has revived and frolics through the forest. What happened to him after this is unknown.
Gokaiger[]
15 years later, Riki fights alongside not only his own team, but every single Sentai Ranger in existence, against the Space Empire Zangyack when it attacks the Earth in the Great Legend War. After fighting against hundreds of Gormin and their Zgormin commanders. Akarenger notices the fleet moving towards them so he gathers all the Rangers together and gives them the order to sacrifice their powers to wipe out the first invasion's armada.
After the defeat of Ackdos Gill, Captain Marvelous returns all the Ranger Keys to the former Sentai heroes. It is assumed Riki and his teammates receive their keys, allowing them to utilize their powers once again.
Personality[]
Riki is a fiercely protective, loyal and also fiercely tempered boy who hates the Baranoians and will do anything to destroy them.
