die because of a stab. As he loses only more blood while trying to resist the pain, he turns his back against the floor and reaches his hand for Tamura, requesting him to take his computer out of his home and put him in the bathtub. He spends his moments as he begs him to complete his request before closing his eyes,

dying in the process. Meanwhile, as he spoke his last words, a strange feminine voice notes all sorts of abilities that he could acquire respectfully according to his words, including cold and heat resistance as he thinks of how cold he was in his current state.
Early Days as a Slime[]
Now in some sort of a dream, Satoru questions what just happened and remembers that he lost his life to a stab. He realizes that he cannot feel pain, heat, or cold as well as his limbs, eyes, and entire body. But to his surprise, he can now move again as he slowly regains his visions from blurriness, he questions his surroundings and realizes that what is in front of him are rocks, giving him the idea that he is not at the hospital. His new body comes in contact with something and realizes that it is a plant. He tries for his mouth to work and his voice, to but realizes that none of these is no longer part of him. He accidentally consumes the plants as he comes contact in it, questioning how humans are capable of dissolving plants. He questions again what is really happening to and what happened to his Tamura and Sawatari along with his voice transforming into a thinner one. He began to gain more control over his body, realizing that it has elasticity properties and that he was no longer human, but a slime. Understanding that he had been reincarnated, he began to explore the place, being a cave and consuming more plants. He questions where the things he consumed is gonna go and is startled by the same voice that he heard before dying, answering him that anything he consumed is stored in his unique skill, Predator. The slime asks who is he. The voice introduces him as the Great Sage and explains him the abilities he now possesses. He tests the voice, asking him to analyze the plants he absorbed and informing him all sorts of information about the plant. He begins to crawl and consume all grasses and plants that he comes across and eventually finds crystals. Great Sage answers him that it is a magic ore along with other information about the material. He quickly adapts to his new body as he swiftly consumes the plants and the crystals. He accidentally falls into a lake nearby as he is having fun consuming everything he finds. Believing that he is gonna die already, he realizes that he can just consume the water around him and swim across the lake with Great Sage reporting about a new skill he acquired, Water Pressure Propulsion. He struggles to stop and hits a wall, causing him to damage himself. The Great Sage informs him he cannot feel pain and realizes that he can easily heal himself. He is startled by a deep voice that begins to speak to him. The voice belongs to a gigantic shadow behind the wall and begins to scream. The slime apologizes for insulting the figure and states that he does not have a mouth, causing the being to laugh. The shadow tells him that he was sealed here three centuries ago and that he is drowning in boredom.

Rimuru meets Veldora
“ | It was 300 years ago. I sort of turned a town into ashes by mistake. So someone came looking to slay me. It's certainly true that I underestimated my opponent a bit. I started putting my strength into the battle partway through... But I still lost! | „ |
~ Veldora telling him how Rimuru what happened to him 300 years ago before he got sealed. |
With the giant figure telling him that the skill, Magic Sense will allow him to sense everything around him, the slime accepts to help him and forces himself to see numerous particles surrounding the place. The Great Sage reports him the new skill he acquired and accepts to use the skill, improving his vision. He thanks the figure but is shocked to see that it was a dragon who was talking to him. The dragon introduces himself as Veldora, the Storm Dragon. The slime learns that he is the first one he meet to have been
reincarnated and has met some other individuals in the past who have not, who are known as the Otherworlders. The dragon tells him about how he was imprisoned 300 years ago when he accidentally turned a town to ash and faced a powerful powerful human who imprisoned him. The slime learns more about the new world he is in. The dragon accepts his friendship and touches him. They decide to give each other a last name. The slime thinks of another word for storm and comes out with the name of Tempest. Veldora, in response, laughs liking the name. Veldora names him Rimnuru, causing him to feel something in his soul. Rimuru declares that he will consume him as a way to free him. Now alone again in the cave, he explores more places of the cave and confronts a giant snake, and beheads the creature with his skill, Water Blade, before consuming his corpse, acquiring two skills Poisonous Breath and Sense Heat Source. He collects many more skills as he kills predators that he confronts and eventually finds the exit, a giant wooden door, a month after he met and befriended with Veldora. As he thinks of a way to open the door, out of coincidence, it opens, exposing light in the cave and three humans who enter the cave. Believing that the humans will attack him if he decides to reveal himself due to being a monster, Rimuru remains hidden until the humans use their own skills to make themself invisible and begin to explore the cave. Rimuru finally exits the cave after nearly 3 months in the dark.

Rimuru beheads the Direwolf Boss.
Rimuru later finds himself in a forest and admires the environment of the new world. A group of frail-looking gobling carrying weapons arrives. One of them asks him what he is for. In response, Rimuru introduces himself by screaming, altering the goblins, and bowing down. The goblin tells him that they came here after sensing a powerful monster nearby. Rimuru is then invited to their village and is informed by one of them, their chief, that their "god" is now gone, and monsters have begun again to attack them. Rimuru realizes that he is talking about Veldora, the chief, and his subordinate bow down to beg for his help in defending their village as their allies are too weak to fight against the threats, the Direwolves. With no option to deny them, he accepts to help them. Outside, the villagers began to panic at the sight of a dire wolf standing on top of a rock. Rimuru declares his protection for the village, resulting in all the villagers bowing down to show their gratitude. Rimuru however finds himself in struggle to think of a strategy to defend against the direwolves seeing their lack of strength and physics on their body. Rimuru then asks the residents to guide him to their wounded ones who fought previously against the wolves. Rimuru decides to “eat” them, but seemingly having done it, he instead spills out the goblin he picks on and heals him. Realizing that the ores he consumed earlier in the cave that he made into potions have even better effect than he realized, he does not hesitate to do the same thing with the rest of the wounded residents in seconds. Now with everyone recovered, Rimuru orders the residents to built up a defence. A few hours later, the direwolves arrived to attack only to see that the goblin village had built up a tall surrounding the village along with Rimuru standing at the entry, warning them that it is their only warning for nobody to get hurt. The head of the direwolves refuses and orders his army to fend off the gate, only to see the goblin effortlessly taking them down with bow and arrows along with thin wires blocking their path. Rimuru reveals that the threads are created by his skill, Steel Threads. Enraged, the direwolf leader rushes at full speed to break the threats easily and attempts to attack Rimuru but gets restrained in the sky by Rimuru’s skil, Sticky Thread before unleashing his skill, Water Blade to behead him. Rimuru now gives the surviving direwolves another warning for them to retreat with their boss now slayed or to die. Rimuru worries as he believes that the wolf will attack all at once but comes out with another idea by consuming the corpse of the direwolf chief, thus gaining the all the ability of the animal and even transforming, and mimicking into the direwolf. He now declares his last warning before unleashing a powerful and loud roar that emits a powerful wind to his surrounding, including the goblins and the wolves. Rimuru worries again seeing that the wolves still refuse to retreat and instead decide to only walk toward despite the powerful wind that pushes them against. But to his surprise, the wolves came closer to clean in front of the Rimuru in his wolf form and declare to now serve him, confusing the slime with the goblins cheering their victory.

The goblins and direwolves gathered together after their battle last night.
The next morning, the wolves and the goblin residents are all assembled together to listen to Rimuru’s speech in which he declares his plan to pair them up to live together. Rimuru then specify what he means by telling them to live in harmony
together and requests them to form teams to collect food, build more houses, and renforce the village more. Rimuru then learns that it is unusual for monsters like goblins and direwolves to even have name and declares to give them new names, making them excited, which only confuses Rimuru. The chief leader is the first one to be named and is give the name Rigur then his son, Rigurd, who show the slime their gratitude. After he is done with naming the goblins, he names the son of the direwolf leader whom he killed as Ranga before falling into sleep mode due to having used too much mana for naming all the goblins and Ranga. While Rimuru was inactive, the goblins are seen taking great care of the slime. Three days prior, Rimuru finally wakes up and is greeted by a woman who calls for her chief who comes in to greet his master, but is shocked to find the old man now having the appearance of towering bulky man. Rigur explains to Rimuru that once monster receive names, it greatly increase their general capabilities. Ranga then breaks in. Excited to see his master awake again, he unintentionally blows away the house by wagging his tail in happiness which
creates a tornado.

RImuru wakes up three days later after his break of mana exhaustion.
After celebrating their leader coming back to his senses, the goblins and wolves are assembled together again for Rimuru’s speech about three rules that he declares; no attacking humans, no conflict amongst sthemelves, and no provoking other races. He also makes Rigur the lord of the goblins. Afterwards, he assigned roles for each village residents, surveillance for the village, collecting ressources, and fawn hunting. However, Rimuru is only left with facing two issue-constructing houses and make better clothes to cover themself more. Rigurd suggests to hire someone who is skilled at making clothes along with Rigur remembering that he knows someone who is good at building houses in the region nearby. Rigur tells Rimuru the location of these individuals and sets up on a journey to meet them while leaving the village temporarily on the back of Ranga alongside the other direwolves. Thanks to the speed the wolves were able to reach, the group traveled a great distance in just a day where they took a break near a river and asked Ranga if he holds any grudge or sense of revenge against him for killing his father. However, Ranga denies and instead shows his high gratitude for sparing he and the rest of his pack and even given them names. Within just two days later, the group reached their destination which would normally took around 2 month. Rimuru is guided by Gobta to the town where he intends to hire a blacksmith and assures the rest of the group that he will be fine. Rimuru and Gobta joins a lone line of humans before they are confronted by two arrogant hunters who threatens them for being mere monsters. Rimuru transforms into his direwolf form and unleashes a powerful scream which scares not only them but also the others waiting in the line, causing most of them to faint or go unconscious. This caused the attention of the guards who put Rimuru and Gobta behind the bar and are interrogated. The dwarf guard captain, Kaido, is skeptical

about Rimuru who tries to tell him that he was only trying ot scare some the hunters who threatened him. Another guard reports Kaido that there is a monster in the mine and that their men are gravelly injured. Rimuru then requests his help by providing him a barrel filled with potion that he can use to cure them. Some time after, the captain comes back with the ones who were injured and thank Rimuru. In return, the captain frees him and Gobla and agrees to introduce him to a skilled blacksmith. Afterwards, Rimuru follows Kaido to the skilled blacksmith he mentioned, who is also his brother, Kaijin. His brother shows his gratitude for saving his brothers by offering them his potions. When Rimuru told him what he needed, Kaijin however said that he is busy at the moment because of order he received from the minister that requests him to make twenty longswords at the end of the week and mentions his struggle at making them due to lack of materials. Rimuru offers him the rare ores that he collected during his time he spent in the cave. He also asks Kaijin to give him a sword that he is supposed to make twenty of them and duplicates twenty of them, thus instantly finishing Kaijin’s order for the minister. To thank him, the blacksmith and the rest of the dwarf brothers decide to organize a party with elves for his honor, exciting Rimuru. Following their celebration, the minister, Minister Vesta enters their party where he gets into a conflict with them, leading him to banish the blacksmith and his brothers from the city, leaving them to join Rimuru and his group to travel back to their village.
After reuniting with the goblin village, the dwarves soon began to teach the villagers to construct houses and blacksmithing. Rigurd then informs Rimuru that some human adventurers are heading toward their town. Soon after, Rimuru rescues them carbonizing the monsters who were attacking them. He gives back the mask that flew away from one of the adventurers, Shizu Izawa, a human that was told to meet Rimuru earlier. Great Sage also reminds Rimuru that aside from Shizu, the rest of the humans are the ones who opened the giant door of the cave where he his reincarnation took place. After some time with spending with Shizu, she began to lose control over a daemon inside her, the Elemental Ifrit, who Rimuru manages to defeat with some struggle and detach the demon from her. However, this resulted Shizu’s life to end sooner without the elemental. He learns form her taht the demon lrd, Leon Cromwell summoned her into this world at a young age. She asks him a favor in her final moment to help her students and consume her body as she does not desire to be buried within this world. Thanks to this, Rimuru acquires a new ability that allows him to transform into his own human form that shares some resemblance to Shizu, along with some other abilities that Shizu possessed, including the power to summon Ifrit. He then sends the other humans along with a farewel gift with them also promising that they will inform their organization, Free Guild that their town is non-hostile to humans.
