Rina Tennoji is the main characters of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She is 15 years old and a first year in Nijigasaki High School. Rina was born in November 13 and is a Scorpio. She has yellow eyes and medium pink hair with an blunt bangs and an ahoge.
She's extremely shy and has trouble expressing her emotions, which is why she usually often covers her face with a sketchbook (dubbed the "Rina-chan Board") with a drawing of her face with the appropriate facial expression in pink marker.
Rather than her uniform blazer, she wears a blue hoodie with sleeves past fingers with the shade of blue depending on the season (cyan/light blue for summer and dark blue for winter) and always carries a marker on her pocket. Her main image color is white. She is 149 centimeters tall, and her blood type is B.
She is the center of QU4RTZ, sub-unit under Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. Her solo song album is Doki Pipo ☆ Emotion, Teletelepathy, Analog Heart and Tsunagaru Connect.
She is voiced by Chiemi Tanaka in Japanese and Hayden Daviau in English.
Background[]
Rina was invited to be a school idol by the player character, along with Ai Miyashita and Ayumu Uehara. She also worked with Famitsu App.
A first year student who claims to have a very cute face, but is too shy to show it; thus, she covers her face with the "Rina-chan board," a small notebook with a drawing on it of a facial expression she made with Ai. During live shows, she wears a cat eared pair of headphones with a small monitor that covers her face. She belongs to the information processing course. Her image color is gray. In one of Rina's bond episodes of the game, she eventually decides to reveal her face to the protagonist; in All Stars, after reading this story, the player is also able to remove Rina's mask during live shows. She did her early activities at the Famitsu App website and is described as a "face-hiding type school idol".
Personality[]
Rina was not good at conveying emotions on her face. She can use Rina-chan board sketchbook that she draws her emotions on.
Later on, Rina is trying to change communicating and talking more with others. She talks Ai for her confidence and friendliness. She getting nervous easily but continues to try her best.
Club and Hobbies[]
Rina is very good with her technology and "creating things". She writes her using name is "Auto Emotion Convert Rina-chan Board" on stage and other activities that require both hands.
